This is probably a lid cover open protection. Check to see if there is a magnet on the cover, positioned almost to centre (slightly to the right) at edge of the cover. There is some sort of plastic catch to house the magnet. If it is not there, place a magnet at the corresponding area on the washer where the plastic catch will touch when the lid cover close.

Strange that it should fill as that means door error. You would think it would not fill if it thinks there is a door error. Have you tried switching off, unplug leaving for a few mins? If you can empty it check the door seal,/ latch it may require a new door switch.
Also check that the pump filter is not partially obstructed, be careful water will come out when you check. I read that in another post, I also read that it means drain error but that is at odds with what is written here: read this below it should help and there are pictures

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
'de' stands for Door Error. There is likely to be a problem with either the door solenoid/lock or the 'door closed' sensor. Both require a service engineer's attention I suggest ;-0(
Good luck,

Possible that the inlet flow is low , check the inlet valve and filter. Also try using the manual settings and if all the cycle works well then it is possible that the fault is with the controller unit or a possible errors from the level controller or the inlet valve.
It is best to remove them , check reset after cleaning.
Call LG's support line, they have excellent customer service.
