Go for the simple fix first. Unplug unit and look inside once the cover is removed. It may be that dust and lint that collects on the coils have dropped down into the pan / tray and have blocked the little hole that would allow the water to go into the bucket. Only try this if you can safely remove and replace the cover.
You may still have some packaging materials left inside the unit. The plastic pan doesn't stay in side the bucket. It's used as a drain pan on the outside. Also, be sure the air intake filter is in place, is clean and there are no packaging materials behind it.
To extract more humidity, after checking all the things mentioned above. Lower the extraction level to 32 to 35%. Lower percentages means extraction of more humidity. (i.e.200% -35% = 5% drop in humidity).
Hope this helps you troubleshoot and solve the problem. Please let me know. Thanks.
Your fan motor is going out. You can remove the screws from the back cover and gently pry it off. After that, look into the unit and you will see the screws holding the front cover. Take the bucket out and remove the screws at the top. All the screws around the entire metal shroud need to come out. Then with the covers off you can see the fan mount screws. You have to move the evaporator very gently out of the way to get to these screws. Remove the fan motor replace it and re assemble the unit.
I unscrew the cover were's the air is ****'s inside and I just clean with water pressure.I beleive I have to do this every six month. The problem was;no more water collect, less air came out and the unit was very hot.Only clean the filter is not enough!!
I just bought a used one and at the rear of the unit is a black disc like "plug " which is secured by a cover. You would have removed these to hook up your hose. Simply remove the hose and reinstall the "plug" and and tighten the cover to hold the plug in place. Now when you withdraw the water container from the front , if you look towards the upper rear you will see a " U ' shaped hole . This is where the water drops into the pan..make sure it is not obstructed Good luck!
Check to see that the air is flowing freely through the dehumidifier. They will accumulate dust particles and become plugged. Also make sure that it is not freezing up (you would see ice forming inside through the vent openings). I have had to remove the case to clean lint from some units to get them to operate more efficently. Always unplug the unit to clean and service it.
