Bought a Blomberg Dishwasher in Mid August of this year, 2014. It is not, and really has not been rinsing the dishes properly. I clean out the filter 2 timers per week. It's the top and bottom fron
Don't know what to try - on our 3rd or 4th kind of soap - no difference with soap, no difference with a change in cycle. It's the base model I think, about $750 Canadian.

Ensure your outlet pipe rises above the sink level, if plumbed into your sink drain or drain pipe. This will avoid the possibility of syphoning action of foul water.
Check the main drain system connected to the dish washer hose pipe. Clean the junction if clogged. This smell might orginate from the pipe.
Check incoming water quality. If hard water is noticed, use softener attachments to the inlet.
Fill dish washer salt in the dispenser. Refer user guide. The salt will help softening the water to certain extent. Finally check whether rinse aid dispenser filled with the rinse aid liquid.
First of all empty out your dishwasher, toss in two cups of plain white or cider vinegar and run it on the highest and longest cycle.
Always run the hot water in the sink first and start the dishwasher only when the water is as hot as it will get.
This wash will clean out your dishwasher thoroughly.
Then always do your dishes after you have rinsed any residue off of them before placing them in the dishwasher and I always recommend the pot scrubber cycle if you have one.
Check the following: 1. Is the overfill protection float able to move up and down freely? Press down to release. 2. Be sure the water supply is turned on to the dishwasher.
3. Check for suds in the dishwasher. If foam or suds are detected by the dishwasher sensing system, the dishwasher may not operate properly or may not fill with water. Suds can come from: 1. Using the incorrect type of detergent, such as laundry detergent, hand soap, or dish detergent for hand washing dishes. 2. Forgetting to replace the rinse aid dispenser cap after filling (or refilling) the rinse aid, or spilling rinse aid into the tub (rinse aid causes suds to occur). 3. Using an excessive amount of dishwasher detergent.
Same as above problem: I have had this dishwasher for less than 4 years and the dishes as of about 2 years ago stopped getting cleaned. I use the recommended dish liquid and rinse and lightly clean the dishes before I put them in. What a piece of junk!! gs
Although I previously posted with the same problem of a film on the dishes after cleaning, I did find a section in the owner's manual which solved my problem. Lift up the rinse aid cap on the inside door - the factory setting is on "4". The rinse aid works in conjunction with your local water, which has variations in it's hardness or softness. When your dishes are streaky, lower the rinse aid setting to 1 or 2. If your dishes are spotted, raise the rinse aid setting higher.
