Bosch Classixx 1200 active light flashes after wash cycle and will not rinse or spin unless I move the programme switch to rinse or sin manually
That sounds like a bad mechanical timer.
Testimonial: "Thank you, to all the kind people who have offered possible causes as to why my machine would not complete a full cycle. I did find the cause last night. It had slipped my mind that there were gremlins in our house last week. They manifest in the form of a two year old granddaughter and a 3 year old grandson. One or both of them had more than half closed a gate valve in our cloakroom. The valve isolates the water to the washing machine in the utility room. Where there is another isolating valve just before the flexible hose. Of course this valve is one of those small 90 degree turn to off or on valves. So you know when it is fully open or closed at a glance. Even so I had checked the filter at that point and found it was clear. I never gave the gate valve in the cloakroom a thought because I never use that one. But the gremlins had. When I opened the gate valve fully, the washing machine was back to normal. Just in time because my partner was about to order a new machine. Thank you again for posting your suggestions. All good points to check, and I did check your answers out. Look out for the gremlins. They can cause havoc."
