I have a All Pro 150,000 Torpedo heater, it will turn on and then after a few min. the unit will turn off, a poff of white smoke will come out and then turn off

When I turn the heater on it will run for a few min, then turn off, if you turn the power switch off and then on it will restart, and then turn back off.

Try drying out the fuel tank. It sounds like you might have water in there. Pour the tank out into a bucket. The water will be a bubble on the bottom and you can pour the fuel back in. Stop pouring before the bubble of water reaches the edge.

Take the cover off and see if the heater runs ok, if it does then you have an air problem. Check the air pressure. Check for any cracked air lines, or any other plastic parts associated with air, don't forget to check the plastic piece that the nozzle screws in to.
