Recently received a 20-6030 thermostatic controlled blower for my GSD 3033. I installed but does not turn on.

you,ll have blown the PSU.
there maybe an internal fuse, located in the PSU. but if smoke was bellowing out, i,d say it went straight past the fuse.
New PSUs the best bet.

Remove the power supply after everything is unplugged and take it to your nearest electronics store. They should have a tester there. This is probably the problem.

Bad ram probably, units do that all the time at my job. Most of the time, it is the power supply that does not have enough power to invest into all hardware that makes your pc. even if you had a 400watts power supply, the next time you are buying a power supply you should do some kind of upgrade. 600 watts or more. If you have a high end graphics card then you are indeed in need of a new power supply. also check your cpu, its fan, check if it still seated properly, if there still paste on top of it to hel cooling it down, and protect it from statics. if you added new hardware, remove them and keep checking if it is working. To do manual diags, you need to take the unit apart. I would start by removing rams first, and check ram one by one, then hdd, then disconnect other components until i find the actual part. I am sure it is your powersupply, worst case scenario is you mobo is gone.(but it powers up and shutdown after all so let us hope you don't have a dead motherboard." and remove the dust please, dusty units do not run properly. try re-setting the BIOS by using the clear CMOS jumper on the motherboard. If that does not work then remove the memory dimms, cd-rom drive, hard drive, floppy drive and any PCI components. After that try the computer and see if you at least get a post-up screen. If you do then re-connect each component until the post up screen stops again and that is your problem component. If not then your motherboard is bad.
