No repeatable company has neither the time nor money to call millions of customers about a defect. They post it online and if your registered, mail you a letter (think notification liability).

This was a scam. Hope you didnt reveal and sensitive information like credit card, bank info, social security number or the like. Some of these -little fellers - are recording your voice, getting you to answer "yes" to a question and the n using your recorded "yes" to fake an expensive order. Best to hang up immediately after you discover it smell funny.

You have to cut the cabbage into small enough pieces to easily slide into the chute. once you place it in the chute use the pusher to push it down. J.

the internet indicated the problem with this food processor was the inability to obtain parts.
I advise keeping an eye on ebay if you need something in particular.
