Once into the Dell Venue 8 or11's UEFI BIOS, disable Secure boot ... password you got lost and would like to perform password reset on. Click on the Reset Password. -> Restart the tablet and return to the sign-in screen where you won't have to type in a password.
I will attempt to tackle your problem, however, I am uncertain if you need to bypass the bios password or the login password to windows operating system. Some hard drives also have passwords but from your question it seems to be one of the former 2. If it is a bios password or a windows login you can google Hiren's boot CD 15.2 restored v 1.1 DVD Proteus.ISO and follow the directions for creating a Bootable USB or burn it to DVD with any .ISO image burner like roxio or download image burn...it's free. At start up you may have to press esc or f-11 or f-12 to get the boot menu, choose the device that the boot CD is on by using the arrows on the keyboard, highlight the device and press enter, you will get the menu from the CD, depending on your issue , bios password you must go into dos mode, if login to windows you can enter either dos or mini windows xp or mini windows 7 and follow the instructions to remove or reset the passwords. Yes......give me your service tag number and I will generate the password for you, I have the factory service tag to password generator.....you have a bios password lock. If you also run into a windows password the horns CD will help you.
You will have to contact Dell and ask them how to do a hard reset of the tablet. That will get you to an initial set up but you will lose anything that was on there.
When you think you can bypass the password why then install one? In the worst case you could try to reset it to factory settings, but then you will lose all data on it. If you have a good recent backup I would advice to do that.
vickie,
To delete an app off your tablet you can hold your finger on the app and a bar will pop up at the bottom of the screen with the option to uninstall the app.
Thank You,
