Is it a LCD or a CRT Phillips TV.
If LCD - could be the lamp just getting old (lot of hours on lamp). Could find the model # of the TV and do a Google search of the TV Model # to find a replacement lamp. If its an older CRT Projection TV the tubes may be getting old and unable to illuminate/glow as they used too! Much like a old set of headlamps on a car.

Phillips 47PFL422D/37 I've had the tv about 6 years with no trouble. But now the picture is to dark to watch it also pulses. I've tried to unplug it and plug it back in I get a picture for

First, average life on these sets is about 3 to 4 years at best and only boards are sold so even if you can pin point the board (no individual parts are sold) it is likely if will not get fixed and doing so is a bad investment as all the boards are now old.

My phillips SPZ3000 cam is very dark at nite with the light on

Change to another camera. The problem is in your cameras ccd chip. The sensibility of that chip in your camera is not strange enough to sens the light and create the picture.
I hope you have a normal light source not a night lamp or a torch or so...

Sony Bravia model #KDL52WL130 worked fine for first year then picture went very dark for the 1st 30 minutes it was on but eventually cleared up. Now it takes longer and screen is completely blank. Sound...

I had a similar problem with my Phillips 42 in. LCD HD TV.

Here's the problem. The Power Supply Board. I opened my TV up(warranty was up of course) and found several bad capacitors. Phillips and several other companies were sold capacitors that although were highly rated failed within 5 years, some sooner, because of a lack of preservatives. All sorts of electronic equipment is now being effected due to these defective capacitors.
Solutions?
1. Take it in and have it fixed
2. Open it up, check the board for faulty capacitors(bulged or leaking) Buy a new Power supply board and install it.
3. Remove PSB, remove faulty capacitors and replace with compatible new ones.

Hope this helps

Philips HD Projection TV just too dark (No Luminance)

sounds like the coolant needs to be replaced in the CRts as that will give you a very dark and dull colored picture. The phillips CRT coolant replacement kit at the following link contains the coolant and the CD with instructions.

I recommend calling a service company because they don't go that far out of adjustment without there being a problem.

My TV

One of the most common faults with the phillips rear projections is the coolant in the tubes. That can and will make the picture very dim and can cause the brightness and focus controls not to have much affect over it. Please respond to this same post with your model number and I will check to see if their are any other items that could cause that symptom.
