What does the reset button look like and where is it located on a zeki TB782B tablet

The Seki TB782B runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS. The Zeki tablet has a multi touch screen and responds to a wide array of gestures like pinching, tapping and swiping. It also has an 8GB of internal memory and support up to 32GB of micro SD card, a built-in WiFi, G-Sensor and 3 hours battery life for continuous using. When you asked for the hard reset, this means that there is something wrong with your device. The worst problem is you forgot the pattern lock and you have no option but to reset your device. Resetting your device means deleting all the data, apps, photos and videos that saved on your device. Once you proceed there is no way to retrieve all the deleted data. To perform the hard reset: - Check the battery if there is enough charge to finish the resetting process. - Turn off the device and remove the SD card, if there is any. - You have to press and hold the VOLUME down button and tap the RESET button. The reset button is located between the HDMI and USB ports. - Keep pressing the VOLUME down button until the system menu appears, then release the button. - You can use the VOLUME button to navigate the options, select the WIPE DATA/FACTORY RESET, then press the power button to confirm. - Scroll again and select the Delete all user data, then press the power button to confirm the action. - Wait to finish the rebooting process, it will take several minutes to reboot the factory default settings of your device.

Zeki tablet troubleshooting

if you have had to do a reset then all information will usually be wiped. Not sure what you can do to retrieve and contacts that were stored locally.

to help in the future you can download some backup programs which will allow you to backup to SD card or computer. Also if you make sure your contacts are stored to your google account you should be able to retrieve those next time you have to reset. You will also find all your apps in the play store ( My Apps ) and you can choose which ones to install again.

I cant download anything on my tablet how do you fix that

You could have stated your storage systems to better evaluate the cause. However, most of the time, download failures on Androids are either caused by;

1.) Insufficient memory on download directory
2.) Firmware Errors

If the first is the case, it will help if you transfer all or few of your downloaded softwares to a higher capacity storage like your SD Card. You can find this at Application Settings on your android deveice.

If the second is the case, the best solution is to Hard Reset your Android (factory reset). You can google Hard Resetting procedure in the web. It's easy.

Hope this helps.

Can you download apple apps on a zeki tablet?

no, absolutely not (only with an emulator, see 2nd link)
as Zeki-tablets use Android OS
- however many apps exist in iOS, Android or other versions
you need to check that with the built in Amazon App store

Locked out of my tablet by my child entering a new pass word...

To unlock your tablet, you will have to perform a factory/hard reset of the device.

Performing a hard reset will DELETE ALL DATA from internal device storage and reset the tablet back to the state before you turned on the device for the first time. Resetting the tablet does not erase any system software updates you have downloaded or any files on your SD memory card, such as music or photos.

To perform factory/hard reset please follow those steps:
1. Turn the power off.
2. Press and Hold the Volume Up and Power button at the same time.
3. When the start up screen show (Samsung logo displays on the screen), release all the buttons.
4. Use the Volume Up/Down button to navigate to "wipe data/factory reset", select with Power button
5. Select "wipe data/factory reset"
6. Select "Yes -- delete all user data"
* Allow several minutes for the factory data reset process to complete.
7. Select "reboot system now"
* Allow several minutes for the reboot process to complete.
