Looks like you only have composite out (yellow, red, white RCA cables) from your DVD player. If you have a newer TV, check to see that you have composite as an input choice.

How to connect a dvd player to a tv set

Connect the incoming antenna to the DVD player (look for connections on the back of the DVD player for Antenna In). Then connect the Dvd player to the Tv. Use the "out" connections on the back of the DVD player and the "in" connections on the back of the tv. You can use RCA jacks to connect the DVD to the tv, or any other type of connection available. Once the DVD player is connected to the tv, you need to set the incoming source on the television. Click on the source button until you find the one that has a clear picture. Dvd connections are usually listed as "aux 1 or 2" on the tv source choices. You will know when you choose the right one because the picture will come in on the tv.

Hope this helps?

Now have verizon Fios and cannot get DVD player to play

Check the connection cable. If the Verizon box and the DVD player are connecting to the same TV input, ensure that the Verizon fios box is connecting to DVD input, and DVD output is connecting to TV.

If you connect DVD out to Verizon box input, and then TV , you will have to turn off the receiver box to see DVD.

If you use only one TV Input connect Verizon output to DVD input and DVD out to TV.

If instead you use separate inputs on TV, then try using the source/select input button on TV remote, and try different cables.

Regards.

Which channel do i put the tv on, and which do i put the dvd player on in order for them to work together? I have a sanyo flat screen tv and a sony dolby digital dvd player, and i don't know how to get...

You do not put your TV on any channel. DVD players need to connect to a TV with video cables and not a RF cable. This means 3 connection options on how your DVD player should connect to your TV. First, since your DVD player is NOT a bluray player, then HDMI connection is not needed. 2nd, the best choice would be component cables. These are the RED/GREEN/BLUE RCA connector that are on the back of your DVD player. They got into the input of your TV that has the RED/GREEN/BLUE RCA connectors. These are your video connector. Now, you need to connect the audio. Look for the RED/WHITE analog audio connectors out of your DVD player. Connector those to your AUDIO RED/WHITE input of the TV. Power on the DVD player and then power on your TV. Press the SOURCE or INPUT button on the remote for the TV until you see the DVD on the TV....The second option is the connect your DVD player up to your TV with composite video, YELLOW/RED/WHITE cable...

VCR, DVD, TV Connection

first let me say that a dvd player and a dvd recorder are different. the dvd player can only play dvd while a dvd recorder can both play and record dvd that is said. what i understand from what you write is currently is - out of your tv box into your dvd player then out of your player into your tv........ ok some dvd has two connections. line one and line two if your tv box is in line one then you should plug the rca cable in line two in. then you select line two on the dvd player then plug the other end to your vcr in line out so that is out of your vcr into line two of your dvd player.(some times one of the connection is at the front of your player hidden) if your dvd player only have one connection then you would have to plug out your tv box and replace it with the vcr cable and when you finish coping your vhs tape you plug in back your tv box to your dvd player. hope i could help..........
