The HID kit shouldn't require a separate capacitor. It should be fine with the one that's in the little box that the harness plugs into, that came with your kit. Which relay are you referring to, that is buzzing?

MCCF7W freezer stopped working

Your description of the problem seems to suggest that the compressor start relay may be bad. If there is a capacitor present it should be also tested. If start relay and/or capacitor is defective, you have the option to replace it with OEM; which may be a bit expansive, or use a Solid State Relay Overload Start Capacitor Combination. Before replacing or installing one of them, check the horsepower of your compressor. Solid state relay overload start capacitors are horsepower based.

Hi there

Only bad news I'm afraid, the click and buzzing sound is a seized compressor, you said changed the relay and capacitor, good idea but often a seized compressor will come free if it cools for a while, unfortunately it will normally seize again fairly quickly. A job for the tech guy.

Best wishes

I just replaced the start relay (start device) on our KitchenAid side by side refrigerator. The new relay I received was exactly like the original except it did not come with the plug in capacitor. I...

Leave the capacitor on and don't worry about the cover. The capacitor really helps the compressor to not use as much electricity, thus saving energy.

HUMMING/CHATTERING NOISE ON SANYO TV

Confirmation: Lee2fixit's solution also worked on a Sanyo 19" TV Model DS19580with 'buzzing relay'. Chassis carriessimilar relay (Type DG1U 12VDC II TV-5 8A 250V~ also by DEC) at location RL601and a 25VDC 470uF electrolytic cap at C622. After confirming the relay was sound and finding no obviously faultedcomponents tied to it, replaced the cap. Bingo, normal operation and a quiet relay. Will post a follow-up ONLY if the fix failsbefore the rest of the TV .. it's almost10 years old after all. Thank youLee2fixit and FixIt.com.

Sanyo tv ds25390 buzzing sound

I had the same problem with the same model.
The solution was to replace a capacitor, C622, which is located near
a small blue rectangular plastic component.
This component is a relay that is controlled by C622. I paid $2.39 for
the part, $8.99 for S&H for a total of $11.38. This fixed my problem!

Buzzzzzzz

Hello to all you buzzers, I have the answer to your problem. First this is what's happening. The buzzing is coming from the power relay. It vibrates at 60hz because the power supply filter capacitor is not doing its job hence you have a rough d.c. pulse going to the relay. To solve the problem remove back of t.v. slide circuit board out (you will have to disconnect white wire from degauss coil, located on left front) look for a blue box approximately 3/4"x1 1/2" this will be the power relay. Now look for capacitor location #c622 near the relay. This capacitor should be 470uf 25v. Remove and replace with 470uf 35v capacitor, connect white degauss wire temperarily put back on and give it a spin. Hope this solves all the buzzin, robert
