Remote control stopped working

Check if there's IR being emitted. Use your phone's cam to look at the IR emitter while pressing buttons on the remote
Anything more than these basics requires skills in electronics. If you had the skills then you wouldn't need to ask the question here. So buy a replacement remote instead.

I am sure that you got this resolved already. But here are some steps to walk through if you haven't gotten it resolved, or have problems again in the future. I enclosed a link, where you can walk through simple steps to get the remote working for the receiver box. You do want to make sure that you are in front of the receiver box for this process. Also, if you have not changed the batteries in 60 days, go ahead and change those out too if possible.
