Dewalt dw625e intermittent power fault

Powers up and works, when turned off and then turned on again doesn't work, left for a 20 minutes works again.

Some power tools have a thermal reset switch built in. It sounds as if the thermal overload is faulty, or the unit has overheated. Check to insure the cooling ports of the motor are not clogged with sawdust.

I read this as this: You replaced a blown fuse, the new fuse still looks good but the radio no longer works.

First test the fuse, if it checks out OK then something else has blown in the radio, I check the power supplies first, giving it power and seeing if everything there is still working as it should.

Repair intermittent switch on dewalt 20 Volt impact driver
Unfortunately Dewalt switches are solid state, meaning there is little to nothing you can do to fix them when they don't work. Occasionally spraying them with electronics cleaner and blowing them out with clean, dry air will make them work a little longer but more often than not you simply have to replace the switch. The part number for your driver is N084669. They cost between $65 and $75 so shop around or check with a local repair center.

It depends on what you mean by intermittent. If the drill takes a few tries to turn on, but works fine once it does, it usually means there's a problem with the switch. If the power is weak and tends to cut out, it generally means there's a problem with the motor - usually brushes. This article might clear things up a bit:

Usually this type of error message pops up when the scanner lamp isn?t warming up properly. This is what you should do: 1. Check if the lamp is on. 2.
