Need a installation diagram to replace a drive belt on craftsman riding mower
I don't have a diagram but I can tell you how. First remove the deck and deck belt. Then remove the engine belt keepers. Remove the Clutching Idler and bracket (the one with the spring attached). Then you can remove the drive belt from the mower. When installing your drive belt, make sure the belt goes around the clutching idler and then on the inside of the stationary idler (flat side of belt to the stationary idler). Reinstall engine belt keepers and then deck and deck belt.

I believe you may have the belt over one or more of the belt retainers next to the pulleys. They are 5 or 6 inches long and about a 1/4 inch in diameter. You have to loosen them when you put the belt on then adjust them to where they are just barely touching the back of the belt. They keep the belt from jumping off.
