Check current region code
Open the Philips HOME Screen
Type on your remote: 8520
This will display all of the current settings for your player.
Example: Region_Code: DVD(2) BD(B)Change region code
Turn on player with no disk inserted
Press "Open/Close" on the remote control until the tray is open
Press 8689310 - 0 means all region
Press 8689311 - 1 means region 1,
Press 8689312 - 2 means region 2,
Press 8689313 - 3 means region 3,
Press 8689314 - 4 means region 4,
Press 8689315 - 5 means region 5,
Press 8689316 - 6 means region 6.
Now the front Buttons might not work!
Go to SETUP and click on RESET FACTORY SETTINGS
Wait until the player restarts and now you can play all DVD regions
Maybe you should change your mind, that is, not to unlock the region code of your Blu-ray player, but to unlock the region code of the discs you got. Region code hack for PHILIPS 3256 x/94
1. Go to Setup.
[from remote]
2. Select the Preference Page.
3. Press 1, 3, 8, 9, 3, 1 on the Philips DVD Player remote.
--> It will show current region code [ for example 5 ]
4. Now Press the up/down key to select "0" which makes it region free.
5. Press ok and exit setup.
Probably the same would be applicable for 3258, 3268, 3986.

I used the following and it worked fine for me on a recent purchase of a Philips DVP3960
Power Up the unit with NO Disc in the tray.
Open the tray
Press the SETUP Button on the remote control
Navigate to the PREFERENCES page using the Right Arrow Key
Press the DOWN ARROW one time to select
Press the 1 button on your remote control
Press the 3 button on your remote control
Press the 8 button on your remote control
Press the 9 button on your remote control
Press the 3 button on your remote control
Press the 1 button on your remote control
The current Region Code Setting will display
Use the UP/DOWN Arrow Keys to select the region required or '0' for All Regions
Press the PLAY Button on the remote control

hello mate here are the instructions. First you have to download "ZORAN.ZIP" and extract to desktop you will now have a
file which name is "LG36868.IMG"
2. Then You have to burn this file to cd>
3. Insert the CD into player after burning the CD.
4. Then the region management menu will be shown.
5 If you input '0' and press 'pause key' by
Remote Con. Then Code free is done.

To check the software version and change
region code of your DVD Portable
1. Power ON the DVD player and open the DVD
door
2. Press the “SETUP” button on remote control,
then select the “Preference MENU”
3. Press the remote button in the sequence as
9 -> 6 -> 5 -> 3
4. The LCD display showed the existing region
code. Press (navigation up) or

number from 0 to 6.
