I am speculating you have a fairly new tablet with the ability to support mini htmi. If so, then it may just work once you install a mini hdmi to hdmi adapter and respond to messages.
Normally the TV has to be connected to a set top box supplied by the cable company. The TV set usually needs to be tuned to channel three (or four) and kept at this setting. If an HTMI connection cable is used look for a button labled "input" on the TV remote and using the remote change the input selection to tch the HTMI input station you plugged it into .
Good day
The best option would be to connect a HTMI cable to both devices. There is only one HTMI out on the Blu-ray and 2 inputs on the TV. Any one of the 2 on the TV will work. Than select the source on the TV to reflect the HTMI selected
I am assuming your 55" screen or tv YOu can connect you dell via a RGB part if you tv has one however you laptop does not have ehether a S vidio or hTMI port so that means you can't connet to most screens
If so it means that it is not detecting anything from the HDMI input. Make sure that you have the cables properly connected and that you are on the correct TV input. If thats not the case, try using component cables instead of HDMI and see if it works that way.
Your player has several outputs and you might want to start with the basic Video Audo Left Right output first.
Set your with your plazma to see if you can change the input types to accept the video and audio input which will probably be labeled AV 1, AV 2 and so on.
My guess is that you have it set for Component Red Blue Green which his a high def (just before HTMI) and requires a separate audio cable. Your player, depending on the age of the unit, probably will not have Red Blue Green picture output.
Next if you have an HTMI output from your player hook that to your Plazma in the HDMI 1 position and select it on the TV's setting. Audio and Video are both carried in the HDMI cable.
