There is a process to make an all reset. After the reset try again. The user user manual can be downloaded from Timex. Make very sure the watch is absolutely flat and far from metal objects. Even being near most furniture can effect the reading because they can have metal springs. Many homes have a lot of metal in their construction. It's best to calibrate the compass out doors away from power wires or cars or anything metal. On the street you can have metal under the pavement.
If this does not work call Timex. There have been instances where the compass module or sensor had to be changed. I have the same watch. It's a very good one.

Thank you Jerry. You failed to mention how the "all reset" is carried out.
I realize this is an old question... Maybe my answer will help others.
With the WS4 if the compass is working but partially, or seems to always not be showing the proper direction, but when finishing the calibration the watch confirms the calibration is okay there is a solution for this that worked for me.
Get a watch demagnetizer as like the ones used for the mechanical/automatic watches. Demagnetize the watch. I have used this technique with my WS4 and with other types of electronic compass watches.
If you have an older type compass watch that actually uses a magnetic compass needle then do not demagnetize it.
The sensor for the compass is made with using micro technology. It is using a set of polar wound coils that are wound on to a ferrite ceramic core. This core can become a bit magnetized over time. Exposure to cell phones, tablets, and etc., can contribute to this problem.
Many of the watches are using this type of sensor for the compass. When the watch is sent in for service with the complaint about the compass the manufacture service rep changes the sensor rather than trying to first demagnetize it.
