Any web-browser can be configured to use _any_ web-page, not just the Google web-page, as the "home" page.

To make Google your home page using a Mac Computer and Safari as your web browser proceed as follows:



Open an instance of Safari

Click Safari at the top of the page and select preferences

You will see a Window appear as show below:







Open the General Tab and set your Preferences as you desire including your HomePage by entering the address or having your preferred Web page open and clicking the Set to Current Page button below the HomePage option.

Close the Safari Preference box and your home page should be the one set whenever you open an instance of Safari.

Mac Safari

Open an instance of Safari



Click Safari at the top of the page and select preferences



You will see a Window appear as show below:

If you are using windows Internet Explorer Proceed as follows:



In order to change your default web page Proceed as follows:

Open an instance of your InternetExplorer

Navigate to a Web page you would like to use as your default Web Page

On the right hand side of your browser you will see a symbol of a cog wheel which represent the Tool options of your browser.

Click on the Cog and select Internet Options from the drop down Menu that appears.

On the General tab you will see the address for your default home page.

Click the button Use Current and the the address of your new home page will be displayed in the box above.

Go to the bottom of the Internet Options Page and click the Apply button.

Close your browser.

Open your browser again and you will find your preferred home page is now your default Home Page

How to re set Home Page
If you have not already done so, open Internet Explorer and go to the Google page .
Click the arrow to the right of the Home button , and then click Add or Change Home Page.
In the Add or Change Home Page dialog box, do one of the following:
To make the current webpage your only home page, click Use this webpage as your only home page.
To start a home page tab set or to add the current webpage to your set of home page tabs, click Add this webpage to your home page tabs.
To replace your existing home page or home page tab set with the webpages you currently have open, click Use the current tab set as your home page. This option will only be available if you have more than one tab open in Internet Explorer.
Click Yes to save your changes.

Make Google my homepage

You can have Google at your fingertips when browsing the Web by making Google.com your homepage. Instructions are provided below for common browsers.

1. Click the Chrome menu on the browser toolbar.
2. Click Settings.
3. Select the "Show Home button" checkbox in the "Appearance" section to show it on the browser toolbar.
4. When the "Show Home button" checkbox is selected, a web address appears below it. Click Change.
5. Click Open this page and enter www.google.com in the text box.
6. Click OK.

If you're using a PC, once the web browser is open, type www.google.com in the address bar (or hold down the ALT key and touch D) then type www.google.com and press Enter.

Now the google web page will open. On this page you should find a button saying "Make Google my home page" Click here and Bob's your uncle.

When you open Google (www.google.com) and the Google WEB page appears, click on Tools - Options - Click on Use current page then click OK
Then every time you open Firefox then you will get the Google WEB page.

1. Click the wrench icon on the browser toolbar.
2. Select Options
3. Click the Basics tab.
   • Set your home page
     Pick the page you'd like to be your home page in the "Home page" section. for Google type: www.google.com

Just to clarify, go to Edit menu, then options. You can either click the "Reset to Default" button (Firefox defaults to a version of Google), or type "www.google.com" in the Home Page field.
