define "stopping". If it involved using the new ignition switch, then I think a return to the dealer is necessary. You know it takes 3 times for them to get it right?
Remember it is only a 250 but a couple things will cause that problem I have found that 2 stroke engines tend to stop up the exhaust pipe try taking it off replace it with a shorty pipe to test it if it runs like a striped ape the pipe is probably stopped up take out the baffle and clean pipe and muffler good reassemble
then there is the chance that it is low on compression this would constatute a top end rebuild
If you have spark at the right time, fuel, air.... you might try a spray of staring fluid. I would then check the compression. If it is too low it will not start.
clean the carburettor out.might be a blocked jet in there where the fuel passes through..it only takes a tiny piece of dirt to stop good gas flow.there sould be 2 jets in the carb,and they are usually made of brass.1 jet (for engine idle and low speed).the other is for when more power required.
On the left handlebar there is a yellow override button. Pressing this button in reverse will allow the AWD to come on. However, when this button is pressed caution should be used as it also eliminates the reverse speed limiter and too high of speeds in reverse can cause loss of control. I believe that is also a warning sticker on the ATV. Hope this helps, Daniel.
have a 2009 polaris ranger with 54 hours and it cannt be fixed when get hot the engine spudders and dies take it to the shop computor says throdle body senser needs checked had in shop four time now brought it home if run at constant speed it cuts out dies at stop signs but if pump the gas it will go what is wrong it is brand new dealer cannt fix please any one know what to do changed out the throder body helped for 27 hours
