How do i fix the machine with an AE error code

detected leak unplug for 10 min let reset

The AE error is
indicative that there is a leak
somewhere in the washer and it has
triggered the flood protection device
found at the bottom of machine.

An error code of AE means there is a leak somewhere.

This error AE normally indcates a water leak,try tilting machine backwards or forwards 2 see if any water comes out from base of machine

AE error code : base sensor has sensed water.

The E AE error means that the unit is sensing the incorrect voltage or frequency coming from the electrical connection. Have your utility company check your line.

If the incoming power is normal, contact Electrolux to get the main control board replaced.

Hi.

Error AE is prompted when there is a leak detected at the base of the appliance or when the anti flood safety device gets activated.

Disconnect power by unplugging power cord or resetting circuit breaker.

While power is off remove any water present at the base of the appliance.

If there is no water, check the pressure switch, wiring and control board for faults that may result in error AE. Check also setting of the drain hose at the back (it may cause siphoning), and make sure that inlet valve is not leaking.

the AE code means that there is water in the base I found that the steam heater element in mine was leaking so after a quick repair using silicon and a good clean after drying the water out of the base it now works again

PS I used to be a washing machine repair engineer! I wouldn't suggest that you start opening up your washing machine!!!!

Are you sure it's says AE for the error code.  LG doesn't list that particular error code.  Please check again.
