How do i upload music from my pc to gigabeat 40gb i pod

To transfer music files to your gigabeat, simply connect it to the PC via USB cable. A gigabeat window will pop up on your screen and will direct you to WMP 11 (make sure to click the "Complete" button, or it will not take you to WMP 11). Once you're in WMP 11, assemble the list of music you wish to transfer and press "Sync". The program will automatically begin transferring data to your gigabeat.

Is transfer from Gigabeat to iPod possible?

There are programs like sound taxi that will do it easily but they do charge for them. If all of the files are on your computer just add them to iTunes and they'll all transfer to your ipod. If not just transfer them from your Gigabeat to your computers music file. Add the file to your iTunes and then sync your ipod to your computer and all of your songs will be on your ipod. Unfortunately without paying for a transfer program you will loose all of your playlists and organization files.

I Need Help

It sound like a cable might be broken or something. You should check if the USB cable has any apparent damage. Otherwise it may be that you have to re-format of the harddrive in the devise. I've never had one of those but i bet there is a way to re-format it. You can research th devise on the internet and check if there is any way to re-format it. Look up something like "How to re-format Gigabeat" or something of the means. I hope that you have saved your music on something else cause whe you re-format it, it makes it lose all the music. If this doesnt help, throw your Gigabeat away and get an Ipod... I have most of them, even the old ones and they still work

File transfer Problem

Ok, I figured out a solution on my own.

Remarkably simple - all I did was reformat the player again and then reinstall windows media player.

Although in my travels I came across an article which may help users with a similar problem: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/911091/en-us#appliesto
