The model we have was designed to auto reset after water was removed from bucket. Thereis a push button switch that the bucket contacts after being emptied and replaced. Do these switches become defective?
You have to be sure bucket is replaced exactly where it should go or the bucket will hold the switch in, thinking it is full. If you have a floor drain close by,remove the bucket and set the dehumidifier over or next to drain so water will go down it,then you don't worry about bucket getting full.If it doesn't run with bucket off, maybe defective switch. unhook wires to the bucket switch and hook or tape together,if dehumidifier runs then switch is bad. UNPLUG FROM OUTLET BEFORE DOING THIS. IF YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND ELECTRICITY GET QUALIFIED HELP!!
