SOURCE: Can't transfer Audible files to my Sansa Clip

The link to the operating manual (which includes the Audiobook instructions) is here:
http://www.sandisk.com/sansa/assets/English/products/Clip/Clip_userguide_en.pdf

What I would do is drag and drop the Audible files from the folder that Audible creates to store your audiobooks to the Audible folder of the Sansa Clip, instead of using the Audible Manager.

SOURCE: Loading audio books onto sansa fuse clip 2gb mp3 player

You need to tag the .mp3 so it has a genre of "Audiobook". Google "mp3 tagger" and you'll find utils to do this for you.

SOURCE: I received the following message

Hi.
I report a solution from Portable player FAQ, let me know if it works:
1. Delete the title in the Overdrive Media Console program.
2. Then log into the Audiobook site at http://e.hbpl.org and click on My Account, My eItems Checked Out, and click the Download button the website to re-download the book.
3. Transfer the newly downloaded parts to your player.

SOURCE: I cannot get my Sansa

Audio books should be listed within the Music folder on your clip.. just scroll until you see it.

You may have to manually put the audio book into that folder via My computer beforehand.

WIndows media player does not recognize the audio book subfolder and will mix your audio books into the album mix.. but just ignore this

How do I get my audible books on my sandisk clip sport mp3 player to play in the right order

it could be a filename issue. You could number your tracks in a mp3 tag editor. I suggest mp3tag v.2.5.x for your needs.

I cannot listen to an "audible" book on my sansa player. I get the error message "please activate device with audible manager to play this title". I don't know what audible manager...

"Audible" books are copy protected to prevent unauthorized copying or sharing.
Download the Audible Manager software from http://www.audible.com/sw
When you load that software and sign on to your Audible.com account, you will be able to sync the information into the Sansa player that will authorize the audiobook to play on the Sansa.

Wont download audi books from audible manager

Make sure audible manager is recognizing your player, if so please give a more detailed description of your problem (error messages) etc.

If audible manager is recognizing your player you highlight which book you would like to add then click the add to player button.

Hope this helps.

I recently purchased a Sansa Clip MP3. I downloaded audiobooks to it but they will not play. What do I need to do?

Not true!!! The Sansa Clip is actually the best mp3 player I have found for listing to audiobooks. Here is what you need to do. Download the latest firmware update on the Sandisk website. You must do this or it just won't work unless you are downloading books from Audible.

I use the Overdrive Media Console and download mp3 and WMA books from my state library. When you hit transfer, be sure it hit advanced options. Browse until you select the audiobook folder on your player. Then transfer to that.

The player will bookmark your last place on anything that is in your audiobook folder. You can easily switch back and forth between your music and book without losing your place! Love it!

It even has a sleep timer on it. I'm in heaven.

Do not know how to download and can not find book

You have to download "audible manager" from audible.com. Use it to transfer audible books to your device. It's free in period time and free some books.
Good luck

I want to download books from my library on to my zen mozaic, I can download them to music but shouldn't they go into an audible file?

The audible file is only for books bought from audible.com. The library books will go into your music folder and be found under albums or artist on Creative players.

One additional tip, you have to get the license to play the library book on your computer and then start playing it on the computer (just the first few words) before transferring the book onto your player. The book has to get the license and be started or it won't play on the player. Something that caused no end of frustration before I figured it out!
