How do you clear fault codes without the dealers help for the convertible top and what else needs to be check? The convertible top switch / button blinks slowly but does not roll the windows down or lower the roof. The trunk shade is in the proper position. The roof was down when the switch became wet by water along with the radio, electric mirror direction knob and window controls. All these things where then unplugged (except the radio)and the vehicle was allowed to dry out for over a day. Everything works fine except for the convertible top switch blinks but does not lower the roof. I do not hear any sounds from the motors and the hydraulic fluid looks full. What should be checked if a fault code is involved how do I clear a fault code without the dealer charging me?
Dont know much about convertible mercs but there should be a relay which would send power to the motors if this has blown the lid would not lower or fuse or the terminals in the switch its self are still wet
