SOURCE: Need to remove top cover of GE WPXQ3090T2WW top load washer

There should be 2 screws holding it on at the rear. Looking from the rear these will be at each top corner. Once these are removed push the lid from the front of the machine towards the rear and it will pop off.

SOURCE: How do I remove the selector knob on washer

The main selector control know spins off by turning the selector inner knob counterclockwise. The outer ring will then pull off. The other knobs are held on with friction and should just pull off.

The best way to get behind the front panel is by removing the top panel of the machine. There should be 2 gray/solver tabs at the back of the machine near the top if you remove the 2/4 screws from the top then the whole top panel will slide forward then lift off.

Be sure to unplug the machine first.

SOURCE: removing cover assembly on GE top load washer

Is your washer a GE Profile Harmony? Do you want to know how to take the top off or the top of the agitor (pulsator)? The top of the washer has four screws in the back top behind the screen once you unscrew them the front of the washer has two clips one on each side and you have to kinda tap it with your palm to get them to pop.

Why is my GE washer leaking water from the right front corner?

A leak coming from the front of a front-load washer is often caused by a damaged or dirty door seal. If the door seal is cracked or loose, it will need to be replaced in order to restore a watertight seal. Always ensure all clothes pockets are empty prior to washing, as objects left in pockets can damage the door seal.

Door on ge front loader washer leaks, door gasket is fine. Could it be the lock not working properly

Yes it could be the door lock not pulling the door in enough to make the seal. Solution... Remove covers and with door pressed in hard, ( You may need help ), adjust the lock mechanism to make seal. Put lock-tite on the threads after it works for you. This will prevent the shaking of the washer from losening of the nuts again.

My GE Adora is making my clothes stink like mildew.

welcome to front load machines. the seal is so good that you don't get air circulation after the cycle (like the top loaders). Solution: take your clothes out right away, wipe that water out from around the seal and most important leave the door open when not in use

GE washer not draining

You should have one. Get down low, and look at the kickplate. You should see screws just below the main front panel of the machine.

The washer smells

I Talked with a retail appliance sale's person about two weeks ago because I had the same problem. Buy a can of country time lemonaide and put three scoops into the drum and run it through a regular wash cycle. This removes the odor. Also around the rubber door seal you can pull the rubber back from the drum side and wipe around the seal with lemon juice due to water and detergent being trapped in the seal. Once every month should do the job. It works for me.
