Dear Davidmagen1,

You said "i turned the monitor to the left too far and it came off the stand- i can not get to stay on the stand"

If there are no openings on on the bottom of your monitor then use rubber cement to reattach the montor. The only surefire way to have a permanentlrey fixed monitor is to buy a new one. if it is a back projecting monitor then you shouldnt really need the stand.

My monitor won't stay in any "locked" position. It is either tilted too far forward or tilted too far back and is hard to view in either position. Can I adjust in any way?

You have broken pins in the spring loaded stand, the pins are made of plastic, this very cheaply made stand from HP. You need to get new stand.

Screen seems to be not working properly

try using a different monitor, borrow one if you have to, if the monitor works on your computer, then it simply means you need a new monitor. As far as the computer shutting down, it may be recording the bad monitor as an error in the loading process and automatically shutting down.

i have found a solution. when this is happening press the menu button rappidly. the on/off will occur still but after a few tries the monitor will stay on but you will have to repeat this if the monitor turns off. it seems to stay on when your system goes into stand by

ILo tv stuck on stand-by

there is some internal problem, maybe you must reheat the IC's inside or there is probably defective parts. Try if it oscillates if you turn it on by monitoring the collector voltage and it must be around 100 to 135 volts.

Green line from top to bottom of monitor

Try changing your resolution, if the lines stay in the exact same position (so do not change together with the resolution) this might be a mediacentre issue. Press CNTRL-ALT-DEL and see in the processes tab if ehtray.exe is running. If it is running, turn it of by unchecking it and see if the lines disappeared.

Relisys tl 766 monitor

ok i think i know how to get rid of it now, i did an ATX reset on it and it does go away HOWEVER as soon as you push the menu button again it comes back.

ATX Reset: unplug the main power lead then hold down the power button on the front of the monitor for about 10 seconds, plug the mains lead back in and then switch the monitor on.
