what year is your Harley. sounds like the petcock just my be wore out.

I had the same problem. Be Carefull! it can slip while you are on the road and cause a fire. I used JB weld and safety wired it, seems be working fine

peacock has gaskets in it that have failed you can get a kit at the honda dealer to fix this

two things. could be that peacock is plugged or there is sometimes a vacumm on the peacock coming from the carbs that sucks the peacock open allowing fuel to flow from the tank. if that hose has a hole in it it will not open the peacock. hope this helps.
