Washer stopped mid-cycle, water in the bottom of the tub. Circuit breaker popped due to over-load. Reset breaker and it immediately popped again. Could this be cause by a jam in the grinder assembly?

My dishwasher just quit mid cycle. (still has water in it) It is a whirlpool partner 1. I checked the breaker and it wasn't tripped... but i reset it anyways. When I tried the dishwasher again it worked for a second and turned off. I have done reading about the thermo fuse but can't find it. Not sure how big of a problem this is.
Dishwasher is 5 years old.

Thanks,
Dale

I am having the same issue with mine. The house circuit breaker is fine, we reset it just to make sure. Other items that we plug into same outlet come on just fine. Just appears to be no power getting to the dishwasher itself since it stopped midcycle.

Doubt that; sounds like you have an electrical short. If breaker will not reset it is due to a direct short. Leave breaker off and remove whatever panels to gain access to the electrical wiring. You should check your incoming power wiring to ground and isolate the source of the short.

Is there another outlet sharing the same circuit breaker?
1- Unplug the dis washer.
2- Turn on the Circuit breaker
a- if it didn't reset while there is some other outlet sharing meaning something shorted other than from the dishwasher.
b- if didn't reset with no other outlet shared the same circuit breaker, then your circuit breaker is bad.
c- if it resets with no other outlet shared the same circuit breaker, then ther is a shortage from your dis washer.
3- After address the issue with circuit breaker you will probably know if there is a problem with your dishwasher then we can go from there.

My admiral washer does not work on wash cycle. It will rinse and spin on any cycle but wash

hi Marilyn.
this is what i have found but not sure if this will help you out,if not go to the link at the bottom and see if it helps you out.

Step 1

Make sure the washer's cord is plugged in to a functioning outlet if the Admiral washer won't fill with water. Check your circuit breaker to make sure the power is on and reset it if necessary. Reset the dial and start the washer again. Turn both of the washer's faucets on to full power. Untangle any inlet hoses to remove clogs. If this doesn't work, your hose filter screens could be clogged. Disconnect the hoses from the washer and clean the screens of any residue.

Step 2

Close the washer's lid completely if the Admiral washer will not agitate. The washer will not start if the lid is open. Restart the washer by setting the control dial to the desired cycle. Momentary pauses during cycles can be expected. You may need to wait a minute or two to see if the washer starts. Check the circuit breaker to make sure the washer is getting power. Reset the circuit breaker if necessary.

Step 3

Check and reset the circuit breaker as above if the Admiral washer will not spin or drain. Untangle any of the washer's hoses to allow water into the machine. Check your drains for clogs that may be preventing water to move into the washing machine. Close the lid and restart the washer. The washer will not start if the lid is not completely closed. If there are excessive soap bubbles in the washer, the washer may have locked up because of this. Wash the load again without adding detergent.

Step 4

Rearrange the laundry so it is evenly distributed if the Admiral washer stops or if laundry is still wet at the end of a cycle. Untangle any laundry from the center post in the wash tub. Select the correct water level for the amount of laundry. Select a normal spin cycle for jeans, towels or other heavy loads. Close the lid and start the washer.

Step 5

Check the hoses to make sure they are tightly connected to the Admiral washer if it leaks water. If they are loose, tighten them with a screwdriver. Make sure the drain hose is secured to the drainage area. Avoid putting too much laundry in your machine or soaking laundry for over 30 minutes.

Step 6

Make sure the Admiral washer is on a level plane if it is excessively noisy. If it is not on even ground, move the washer so that it is level. Remember that some washer noise is normal. Thin floors can cause the washer to vibrate and move about and the noise level may rise and fall depending on the speed of the cycle.

Spin cycle trips house circuit breaker on my GE top loading washer

Hello,

The very likely reason the breaker trips only on spin is because the tub bearing is locked up on the washer since it is locked up its causing way excessive friction at the motor which causes the breaker to trip. Can you rotate the tub by hand or does it seem really hard to rotate by hand indicating that the tub is ceased up due to the tub bearing??

Kenmore eilite oasis

UL stands for an unbalance load where one side the tub is heavier than the other side.

when the code is displayed, it automatically unlocks the lid so you can go in and reposition the clothes to try and balance it. once you are done, simply press the start button again and it should continue again where it left off. if you push the stop button, it will drain the water and assume the cycle is complete.

unplugging it and replugging it in should allow you to do other wash cycles. press power and you should be able to select wash cycles.

if you still have no control, make sure you still have power at the outlet by plugging in a lamp and turning it on. if no power, find the GFI outlet that controls that outlet and reset it. if not on a GFI outlet, then check the circuit breaker panel for a popped breaker. reset it and power should now be restored.

Amana washer won't fill with water

1st I checked the power, compressor in garage had tripped the breaker to the washer circuit. This model has no bells or whistles to tell you if the power is on to the unit. Reset the breaker and unit works.

remove the bottom panel below tha door. youll see the drain pump in the center, fronr of washer. there is a black hose going from the pump to the bottom of the tub. remove that hose. at the end of the hose there is a plastic ball that is supposed to seal the end of the hose. more than likely there is lint build up on the ball or around where the ball seal. clean the ball and the hose and reinstall. you should be fine after that
