How to keep the date and time set??

you will need to see if you can change the date in the terminal if you can then it will bypass this error if you can not you will need to replace your machine.

Step 1: Select GREEN ENTER key

Step 2: Select the PURPLE MORE key

Step 3: Select SET UP

Step 4: Type in your password if applicable (1 Alpha Aplha 66831)

Step 5: Select the PURPLE MORE key until the display reads SET DATE/TIME

Step 6: Select SET DATE/TIME

Step 7: Enter the correct date (MM/DD/YYYY)

Step 8: Enter the correct time (military time) (HHMMSS) Select ENTER

Step 9: Select the RED CANCEL key

OR

Step 1: Select F2/F4 at the same time

Step 2: Type in your password if applicable (1 Alpha Aplha 66831)

Step 3: Select the PURPLE MORE key

Step 4: Select CLOCK

Step 5: Select EDIT

Step 6: Select SET DATE/TIME

You may have to change your battery to be able to save the date.

Setting the Time

When the machine is not in use it will display the date and time. If you set up the Station ID the date and time displayed by your machine will be printed on every fax you send. If there is a power failure, you may have to reset the date and time. No other settings will be affected.

1 Press Menu/Set, 0, 2.
[2. Date/Time]
2 Enter the last two digits of the year.
Press Menu/Set.
3 Enter two digits for the month.
Press Menu/Set.
(For example, enter 09 for September,
or 10 for October.)
4 Enter two digits for the day.
Press Menu/Set.
(For example, enter 06 for 6th.)
5 Enter the time in 24-Hour format.
Press Menu/Set.
(For example, enter 15:25 for 3:25 P.M.)
6 Press Stop/Exit.
The LCD now shows the date and time
whenever the machine is idle in Fax
mode.
When the machine is in Sleep mode, the
LCD shows Sleep. (See Sleep Time on
page 2-8.)


Turning on Automatic Daylight Savings Time

You can set the machine to change automatically for Daylight Savings Time. It will reset itself forward one hour in the Spring and backward one hour in the Fall. Make sure you have set the correct date and time in the Date/Time setting.

1 Press Menu/Set, 1, 5.
[5. Auto Daylight]
2 Press Up Arrow or Down Arrow to select On (or Off).
Press Menu/Set.
3 Press Stop/Exit.

hold down the pointy black switch actuator while turning the machine back on, hold until machine beeps, close doc feeder
scroll down to SHIPMENT SET
press SET
press 2


wait for reboot

Need to know which machine it is first. If you have changed the date and time and it wont stay, it could be that you need a new internal battery. If you just can get it to change, let me know what model. [email protected] or 800 989 4909

That will be a problem from the text side of the broadcast, the clock is set from the text transmission, ( in other words a problem from the transmitter ) possibly due to digital switchover or work on the transmitters. One possible solution would be to turn off auto clock setting, and/or auto summer time adjustment.

Just in case you didn't manage to set the time / date on your tocuh screen thermo clock, I'll try to help you from my experience (no available manual at the moment!).

1. To set the time, touch the clock icon on the upper left corner;
2. Keep touching the screen for longer than 5 seconds, on the hour area;
3. Touch the hour area until you get what you want (if you prefer the 24 hour display style, touch repeatedly until you get the right hour without the AM / PM indicator next to it);
4. Touch the clock icon again to start the clock;
5. Repeat steps 1 to 4 to set up the minutes (the hour area will be replaced by the minutes area);
6. To set the date, tocuh the calendar icon on the left hand side;
7. Keep touching the screen for longer than 5 seconds, on the year area;
8. Touch the year area until you get what you want;
9. Touch the month area until you get what you want;
10. Touch the day area until you get what you want;
11. The screen will reverse to the time display after 5 seconds if no touch.
12. The TEMP (temperature) area, if touched, is toggling between C and Fahrenheit degrees.

P.S. I don't know if it is possible to set an earlier time / date, except touching. I mean, if 2009 is on the screen and you want 2007, you'll keep touching up to 2030 and then from 1901 up to 2007.

4) enter the new date and time (MMDDYYY) (1500 - 3:00 PM) 5) select "set" and stop 

I suggest u to contact the service people and they will change the internal battery to keep update with time and date. Every camera has internal small battery so has to change regularly
