LE26R74BDX TV Not responding to Remote

I have the same problem as someone else on here. I bought my TV in 2007 the day after I recieved the TV it stopped responding to the remote control, I was going to ring the company I bought it off the next day but suddenly the remote started working fine again. 2 Years on without problem and my tv decided to stop responding to the remote last night. I have done many things recommended online to test the remote, new batteries, resetting, checking Infrared via camera ect ect. Nothing seemed to work. I turned my TV from the mains and left it only to wake up today and find the remote is working again..... However a few hours later the Remote has stopped working, this is very eratic. I don't know if it's a remote problem or a problem with the TV, The bottons on the TV itself work fine.

Hi. I did the Camera test which was holding the remote control towards my camera phone and pressing the buttons to which I could see the Infra Red lights Flashing. I tried the radio test and didn't hear anything altho I don't think it was on AM Frequencies so I will have to try that out again. The remote is the Samsung BN59-00516A that came with the TV, Pressing the TV Button doesnt seem to work, whenever I try pressing any other button the TV button will just keep flashing Orange.....

There is a easier way to check your remote.
Open your radio on AM frequencies, you don't need to be tuned just noise is perfect, then bring your remote near the antenna and press some button. You will ear the frequency in your radio. If it works this way but not on the TV make sure to press the TV button before using it (if the remote is universal).

10 year old 35'' Zenith TV will not respond to an RCA remote control. What code do I enter in order for it to communicate?

these codes are built and programmed into the remote and directly into the recievers. unless you have a universal remote then this rca remote will not work. they both communicate on different wave lengths and under different recievers.

I have a Panasonic DVD/VCR TV. The remote control works intermittently. Sometimes I can control the volume and DVD/VCR using the remote and sometimes the TV does not respond to the remote. I spoke with...

Do you still have the instruction booklet for the Tv? Find the remote codes and try re-programming the remote. If this still happens try programming an after market universal remote. Hope this helps.

IR receiver on TV

Might be. Check the remote control for its infrared emission. Check it with fresh batteries. Check it by pressing all the keys. You can detect the presence of infra-red emission from the remote control, using a cell-phone camera. If you wish to get more details about how to check a remote control, please visit this site. One among the posts has details about it. In some cases, the remote control might need to clean.

SanyoDP26746 suddenly has no power .

There is no excuse to hold someone's gear hostage for a half-year. I hope for your sake that it was a 'factory authorized' service org.
If is was, contact Sanyo and raise Cain about it; this set seems to have way more problems than is common for the brand.

TV remote is turing on VCR

Is it a original remote or a replacement universal remote? If it is the latter, then it looks like someone has accidently programmed it for the frequency which is compatible with the recieve frequency of the Remote sensor of your VCR or DVD player.

Input

If you can use the universal remote to turn the set on and off then your TV is fine. Universal remotes won't control all aspects of the TV.
