SOURCE: I have a bosch WFR 2460 washer. Er:15 error code.

You need to check and clean pump filter, normally located behind a removeable plastic cover at bottom front of washer right hand side.
If no filter found there remove rear panel of washer, and clean pump from rear of washer.
Please rate my solution.
Thanks.

SOURCE: Motor not turning at all. Water goes in and pumps

Since you say relay sounds are heard, it shows the command is OK. The power to the motor is not reaching. It could be relay contact problem.

If you have a option of only spin, try this option. If it works the motor is OK. Otherwise you have to trace the power line and test it through a electrical line tester.

Dishwasher stops working a few minutes after being started

Make sure the water is turned on to the unit first--next, is there water entering the tub? Check the float switch--the round, plastic, "flying saucer" shaped object at the bottom of the tub. Gently lift up on it and carefully listen for a very soft "click" sound. That is the tiny switch underneath working. If something gets trapped under the float switch, the washer won't fill with water. Next, if water is indeed in the tub, did you hear the motor pump running? If it runs and then stops, there might be a problem with the control board--check to see if the drain pump works properly--cancel the cycle and listen for the drain pump turning on and draining out all the water. On almost all dishwashers, at the start of a cycle, the drain pump will turn on briefly to pump out any standing water left in the motor base(you can't see the water but it's there) so it doesn't get sprayed onto your dishes. Then, fresh, hot water enters the tub, when the water level reaches the proper level, the float switch rises, tells the computer enough water is present, then starts the main pump. If the water is not being drained out, try to listen for the drain motor humming. If it is running but not draining, it is probably jammed with food or other debris and must be cleared. If the water is turned on but no water is entering the tub, check the inlet water valve underneath the washer--the water line is connected directly to it. It is electrical and operates on 120v. You will need to carefully disconnect the connector from the valve, activate a cycle, and using a voltage meter, check to see if 120 volts is present. If it is there and no water is entering, most likely the valve is bad. If there is no voltage at the valve, either a wire is broken or the main board is defective.

Water will not drain. sewer line is not pluged. Customer service says I could have a plugged filter at the pump ( we have dogs). How do I get to the pump to unclog it. Model EIFLS55IIW woody

Hi agnes! Washing machines, including those built by Frigidaire, have internal pumps. These pumps help drain out the water from the washer tub between the wash, rinse, and spin cycles. If the pump is damaged or the pump pulley system is frozen/stiff, the water can become trapped in the washer tub. In both cases, the pump assembly needs to be replaced. You can check by looking for a few signs that a pump is dying or already dead.
1 Start the washer and wait for the washer tub to fill with water. If you do not hear water or hear a motor whirring, the washer motor may be dead.
2 Open the washer lid in mid-cycle. Note whether or not the inner tub is still spinning around. The inner tub is the inside surface of the washing compartment with many holes for water draining. If the tub is not spinning but the motor is running, it is possible the pump is dead. Check the pump pulley by removing the pump from the washer and trying to rotate it by hand. If the pulley doesn't turn freely and is frozen or stiff, replace it. Also, if the agitator is moving but the tub isn't, this is a sign the pump is dying. For front-loading washers, do not attempt to open the door mid-cycle. Look through the glass door. If there is enough water to come up against the door, the pump is malfunctioning.
3 Wait for the washer to finish its cycle. Open the unit. If water is still in the tub, the pump is likely dying or dead.

Will not spin regularly

The water should be pumped out in a short time just before the spin cycle begins. Do you hear the pump motor running? Check the drain hoses to and from the water pump for kinking. If ok, check for a stray sock or something that blocks the drain port in the bottom of the outer tub. If also ok, check the plastic pump impeller itself for sheared splines which couple it to the motor shaft. If the motor turns, but impeller doesn't, replace the pump mechanism. If still under warranty, take advantage. Hope this helps!

Washer will not spin and drain water after washing. The timer will run thru it's cycle and you can hear it running but after the wash cycle it does nothing.

The water must drain away before modern electronic controls will allow 'spin' to occur. Check the hoses to and from the pump for kinking and the drain port at the bottom of the outer tub for any debris in the tub that can obstruct water outflow. If all looks ok, concentrate on the water pump itself--the motor must run, but the impeller in the pump may not be turning with the motor shaft. Impellers in these pumps are made of plastic and are lightly splined to the motor shaft. Sometimes these splines shear off and the impeller remains relatively motionless. It might be possible to 'super-glue' the impeller to the shaft or just replace the whole pump mechanism. Hope this helps!

Water left in tub after wash cycle

Can you hear the water pump running when it is supposed to drain just before the spin cycle? If it doesn't, the pump motor may be bad or the pump itself may have blockage that stalls the motor. If it runs, but doesn't pump anything, look for pinched drain hoses, an internally blocked drain (a stray sock perhaps?) within the outer tub, or a plugged pump/loose impeller. Hope this helps!

The washer filled with water and started washing but now it won't drain, the knob keeps going and then just turns off but the water won't drain..what should I do?

Do you hear the pump run when it is supposed to? If not, then the pump may need to be replaced (warranty?). If the pump runs, but nothing comes out, lower the drain hose to a pan or bucket on the floor to see if water will run out under gravity. If water does come out, the pump may be defective (the impeller in the pump is loose on the motor shaft). If nothing comes out of the drain, look for a pinched drain hose or the hose from the outer tub to the pump. It may also be an obstruction in the drain connection at the tub connection (a stray sock or similar). Hope this works!

Not draining the tub

Hi,

To my knowledge, most problems such as one you have can be caused by three (3) possibilities:
1. electronic - the activating circuitry that engages the drain valve is faulty;
2. electrical - the drain valve is not opening evening if electronically activated; and
3. mechanical - the drain valve is stuck or the most likely, the drain passageway is clogged.

The last would be your best option and possibly the easiest to correct.

To recap, you hear a clicking sound means that the drain valve opens, you hear the motor, means the drain motor is running, but no water drains out, that only leaves a clogged system.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

Thank you for using FixYa.

Drain pump starts and stops prior to final spin cycle

Jayron, is the motor jogging? start to spin, stop, start to spin stop. If so, your motor is jogging between the high and low start windings. The motor during spin should start on the high speed windings and stay there until most of the water is drained. GE came out with a new motor, harness and run cap because of this. If you have a meter, there should be a white and white/red wire going to the motor. If you have a steady 120V and it's doing this jogging, replace the motor with the kit...Let me know if this the issue, Catriver..post back.
