1) Completely power down your netbook & monitor. 2) Turn ON your LCD monitor, ensure that the power light is on (most monitors have an amber light indicating it's in standby mode. 3) Turn ON your netbook. 4) Watch the power light on your monitor... does it change from amber to Green? 5) If you answered YES then you're at least getting a signal from your netbook display adapter. 6) If NO, then you can try toggling the display adapter manually by pressing and holding the Fn key then single press the key that doubles as the external LCD key (usually a key that has a picture of a monitor or the words LCD on it). 7) Does the built in netbook screen work? If Yes, then proceed as normal.
8) if you don't have video from either source then you can still retrieve your data by following the manfacture steps in removing the internal hard drive. This drove can be used in an external enclosure that connects t your alternate computer via USB cable for easy data retrieval. Probably a 10 - 20 dollar investment is all it would cost.

SOURCE: My Asus Eee PC 1001PXD battery won't charge. The charges light is on but nothing happens and now the battery is completely dead and I cannot get my notebook on

Your problem is far more than the battery. Your problem is the power cord. Laptops for the most part will work off the power cord even if the battery is dead or even if the battery is not in the laptop. Your power cord charges your battery and if it is bad it will not charge it. You've been working off your battery even though you might have had the power cord plugged in, but if it's bad and not charging the battery, the battery drains and then you can't get the laptop to power on at all. Go purchase a ac adapter and power cord that is designed for your system. Don't buy one that some of the big box stores sell that has a an interchangeable plug at the end designed to fit just about any laptop. Those will eventually burn *********** board out.

My asus 1001xd Netbook Cant Detect My Built-in Webcam On My Netbook

there is a tiny cable that attaches to the camera module. most average people cannot repair it, but if you are careful, it is not hard to repair. The most likely issue is the cable has simply unplugged from the camera module. Most modules look like the one pictured here. There is usually a small cable on the side or bottom and re-inserting it will usually fix it, or if you cannot do it, one of your computer savvy friends could do it.

I have a asus eeepc 1001pxd that i dont have the password for.with no money how do i unlock it

Lost Windows password:

  • Login as Administrator. Try with no password (load safe mode if you don't see Administrator). Press F8 during boot to access Safe Mode.
  • Login as other user (if other user is available) and manage users. Must be an administrator.
  • Reformat computer.
  • Use 3rd party software to remove password. Like http://www.top-password.com/reset-windows-password.html
This one requires a licence key purchase. There may be a cheaper one or even free, but this one is extremely user friendly.

If I may ask, is your window 7 OS is an authentic one? because normally this issue only happens to those OS that is not Authentic.

I would strongly suggest to contact your Laptop Manufacturer and ask them if the OS window 7 starter is an authentic one.

Then actually they will be the one to help in updating it as well. If you want I will be the one to provide the contact number of your manufacturer.
