The Canon PIXMA iP4000 has a RESUME/CANCEL button which allows you to resume a print job after an error has been fixed or cancel a print job altogether.
Hello
Replacing the waste ink absorber is a service procedure which is not documented in the user manual, it is documented in the service manual.
the part needs to be replaced and then the printer needs to be reset, this can be performed with either a button combination or with a service tool, which is only available to service personnel.
it would be best to send this printer to canon for repair.
