My LG freezer door has something stuck and can't get it open.

There should be a heater on the door frame to stop that happening. Set your hairdryer to max heat and go around the door seal. Or on a pull out drawer, it may be the rails inside.

My ice drawer will not come out it is stuck

Hello;

My name is Peter. I am a retired field service refrigeration technician.

I see this problem all of the time. That is why I recommend either a top freezer or side x side.

1.) You have guide rails on drawer type freezers. These become iced up to the point you can not open the door. If you try to force the door you may damage it.

2.) If the door is dot tightly sealed, condensate will get in the freezer. Hot goes to cold like a magnet. Hot air and cold air equals condensate.

3.) How do you fix the problem? Unfortunately, you can not get to the door guide rails to clean the ice of from them. You are going to have to unplug your unit to let the rails defrost to the point where you can pull the drawer. This can take up to 24 hours depending how badly the guide rails are iced up.

Garage door openers

Clean the chain rail with a solvent that can remove old lubricant. Re lube with Lithium based lubricant that does not "harden" when the temperature drops - other types of lubricant tend to "harden" with lower temperature that strains the movement of the door. Clean excessive lubricant from the rail as it can drip onto your vehicle.

The freezer door will not close tight

Hello, check the freezer sliding door rail. Removed everything in your freeze then gently slide out the freezer door. Check the bottom of the freezer for food items that may have dripped into the bottom of the freezer. Now, the check the roller rails along each side of the freezer there could have been widget that got smash by the roller on the freezer door, if you find this smashed widget--he not drunk--he is dead. Scrape the those roller rails and clean the and get all the globs, ice cream, widgets, pieces of other different types of freezer flub.
Next, set a level on the freezer door and see if the bubble is point forward, if not then screw up the front two leveler in the front of the freeze--one on each side in the front of the freezer/refrigerator. I hope this help you. GB...stewbsion

Bottom freezer will not open

If you freezer door was left open for an extended period of time the rails that your bottom freezer slide on are most likely frozen. Repair #1 once you get the door open about every hour go in to you kitchen and open and close the freezer door a couple of times. Repair#2 Take your freezer door off remove the rails take a blow dryer and dry the rails untill you do not see any more water then add a sylcone based greast to the ball bearins on the rails and resinstall. Repair#3 Order a whole new set of rails.

Freezer drawer on sub zero stuck

chances are it is frozen stuck and also needs lubrication. Do this. Unplug it for an hour and try the drawer. If it doesnt open wait another half hour and try it again. When it does open, dry the rails thoroughly with a towel and then a hair blow dryer. Finally spray the rails with a lubricating spray like WD40 or better yet some white lithium lubricating grease, both products readily available at any hardware store, home depot, etc.

Frozen Water in Pan behind freezer drawer.

yes you will have to remove the freezer door and go through the front of the unit. the door itself is the easy part to get off, it lifts off the rails, you may have to remove a screw a few inches back fromm the freezer door on both freezer rails(phillips head screw, ). empty the freezer pullout before trying to remove. after that the the pull out upper shelf comes and thenyou can remove the horizontal rails , the ice maker drops down and then the back wall can be removed

Freezer door won't open

There is no lock. More than likely the Door is off track and needs to be reset or ice has set up in the track ceaseing the rails up. In any case this isn't easy you need to get your bottommount freezer door pulled open you may have to use some force and be very careful not to brake it there is alot of plastic. Once you get the door completely out of freezer unclip the rails from the plastice rails and reset the two gears (evenly) to make door shut right. Push metal rails all the way back to you hear a click. Then reverse steps to install freezer door.
