Most valve clearances for b&s are about a sheet of papers thickness. If you would like exact measurement, get me the model number of the engine and I will attempt to find it for you.

Overflow valve on tankless Rheem was leaking & replaced with valve that has sensor from home depot. It is still leaking. Is there a specific overflow valve that I need to use on my tankless system?

The valves are the same specs. Is it possible that a new valve leaks, yew. However if both valve leak then there are other problems. Does the valve only leak when hot water is called for? Then check temperature setting on heater. Does it lek all the time? The water pressure is to high ,

I have a model 44P777, Type 0412 E1. I need the intake rocker setting and the exhaust rocker setting. I also need the spark plug setting. Thank you.

You can set your valves at .004 thousandths, and the spark plug is set at .030 thousandths. GOOD LUCK FRIEND.

How do I set the timing

Are you trying to set the ignition or valve timing ? The ignition timing is factory set and changes with engine rpm - you can set the air gap between the flywheel and the ignition unit which should be around 0.25mm (0.010") Excessive air gap will retard the ignition timing. Unless you\'ve had the engine apart, the valve timing won\'t need re-setting. The valve clearances will need setting from time time and the clearance between valve and rocker is 0.1mm and is adjusted with both valves closed and piston at the top of it\'s stroke - you should replace the gasket and copper washer at the same time.

How do i set cam position and timing on an old yamaha xt 500

You didn't say WHY the cam / valve timing needs to be reset. For some reason I get the feeling someone told you that resetting was needed and so you are asking how. Obviously, you may have installed new pistons and that is why the resetting is needed. In either event, when the cam timing is set the valve timing is also set. Other than adjusting valve lash, setting the cam sets the valve timing. Below is a web site where you can do a free download of a factory service manual. The process is not hard but having a manual will be more help and faster help than I can give online.

Spark plug change

Well i wouldent of thought you need to take off the valve cover AKA (rocker cover) to change spark plugs. spark plugs are usally set at a touque setting at 10 to 15 NMs (newton meters). if you do have to take off the valve cover the gasket can be re-used no O-rings needed.
