SOURCE: problem with fridge ice maker

assuming the freezer is cold enough and that you have a valid water supply hooked up, either the icemaker is bad or the water valve is bad, best idea is to replace both.

SOURCE: Ice maker won't make ice after replacing water filter -plugged

I've had the discolored water before when replacing the filter. It normally means that there was gunk in the water line.

Do you still hear the ice maker trying to draw water in?
If not, the water pump might be burnt out.

If so, see below.

The water lines that feed the dispencer and the ice maker split after a certain point.

It's possible that the line that feeds the ice maker might be clogged. You should be able to get to it by removing a few screws and pulling off the back panel of the fridge. Then you can check them out and remove the clog.

SOURCE: Admiral Refrigerator makes hollow ice

If your filter is over 6 months old, try replacing it first. Its time for a new filter anyway. Thats when I usually know its time for a new filter.

My ice maker quit making ice. I've had this

Check for broken gear or cam in the ice maker module. You can repair them but it might be easier to replace. If your gear and cam are good it pobably is something else that's wrong.

I have an Admiral Side by Side refrigerator. The ice maker is not working properly. This has been an on going problem. Sometime, it works just fine without any warning it just slows up and start making...

When your ice maker produces small or hollow cubes, it's a sign the unit isn't getting enough water. The cause could be a faulty thermostat or a bad water-inlet valve--problems you may want a professional to fix.
Or if you're lucky, you may just have a clog in the water-supply system.
