CD won't eject from my Sony Vaio - Sony Computers & Internet

Have you tried a different program to burn the audio files.?
Also a weak (Going Out) laser in the drive can cause it.

Try ejecting it through "My Computer". Right click on the drive and select "eject". If you can't locate the drive, then it's probably missing the driver.

Try my computer > right click on the cd-rom > eject. If it's working the problem is at the eject button.

replace drive 35-50 bucks i reccomend a lite on

CHECK YOU CD IN OTHER COMPUTER MAYBE THE PROBLEM IS FROM THE CD OR DVD...DON'T INSET INTO YOUR DVD ROOM IF THE CD OR DVD PROBLEM, WEILL DAMGE YOU DVD ROOM OF THAT CD OR DVD... AUTO RESTART COUSE OF THAT CD BECAUSE IT CAN'T READ NORMALLY SOME PROBLEM OF CD OR DVD

You can find a little hole near to the eject button..insert a paperclip into it...it will eject ...

t seems like people are having problems with getting the Fn Brightness and CD Eject Keys working when installing XP.

The following files and install method works here:


01. Install SFEP [AR51] (Right Click - Install SonyNC.inf)

02. Install Sony Shared Library [AR51] and Restart when prompted

03. Install Sony Utilities DLL & Settings Utility Series [BX4]

04. Install VAIO Event Service. Select Custom and Check VESUnique and Sound [BX4]

05. Copy AR51 Vista VESConfig.ini (from attached zip file) to folder C:\Program Files\Sony\VAIO Event Service

06. Start - Run services.msc

07. Find Vaio Event Service in the Services list and Restart the Service.


Your Fn and EJECT Buttons should now work.
