I need the start capacitor part number on a Emerson LR63596 Motor. The motor was running a Kobalt Air Compressor K7060V.... Who could I get this information from? I've tried Emerson but they are no

Need to replace the start capacitor and don't have the old one to get the part number, need to find someone or somewhere I can go to get this information. The air compressor it came off of is a Kobalt K7060V and the motor with the start cap is a Emerson LR63596 other numbers are T63XWCYC-1556 ME05C

Anyone know the start and run cap values on an Emerson LR63596 model T63XWBSS1486, labels have deteriorated

The capacitor values for the Emerson LR63596 model T63XWBSS1486 motor will depend on the specific application and the motor's specifications. Without more information about the motor's voltage, horsepower, and other details, it's difficult to give a precise answer.
However, as a general rule, the capacitor values for single-phase AC motors like the Emerson LR63596 typically range from around 5-80 microfarads (µF) for the start capacitor, and 5-100 µF for the run capacitor.
That being said, it's important to note that the specific capacitor values required for your motor may be different, and using the wrong values could cause damage to the motor or affect its performance. Therefore, it's recommended to consult the motor's documentation or a qualified technician to determine the correct capacitor values for your specific application.

What run capacitor is used on a Emerson LR63596 compressor motor. The number on the capacitor is not ledgable

Most motor capacitors are actually start capacitors. There are motors that use both a start and a run capacitor, usually combined into a single package but such motors are fairly rare.

As it isn't possible to identify the capacitor value you either need to approach a motor specialist for advice or to order a replacement as a spare part for either the machine or the motor from the manufacturer.

Air compressor on Heil air conditioner is humming but not kicking in

Capacitor Failure Symptoms are sometime harder to identify without the right tools and expertise. Capacitors can be found in several different sizes and shapes. There may be one or multiple capacitors included in your ac with regards to the design. While the most popular capacitors are the types found on circuit boards, the ones most associated with air conditioning will be the bigger capacitors that assist start and run your motors. There are several motors present in an conditioner and heater systems:
  1. Compressor Motor Run Capacitor: Here is the most popular capacitor that fails. Most of the time these are duel capacitors, which means that there are 2 capacitors built into one. A duel capacitor will have three terminals on the top where a single capacitor will simply have two terminals on top.
  2. Outside Fan Motor Run Capacitor: That is the smaller capacitor found with or part of the Compressor Motor Capacitor. It helps start and run the outside fan that blows air through the outside coils.
  3. Indoor Blower Motor Run Capacitor: Similar to the outdoor fan motor capacitor, it is a small, single (two terminals) capacitor that will help start and run the indoor blower motor.
  4. Start Capacitor: Some models include an auxiliary start capacitor that helps jump start the motors. Most are found on the compressor. These are less common.

You may need to get that checked out.

Electric compressor motor problem

Unloader valve on switch. That switch is not bleeding off cylinder head pressure, when it shuts off.

5 horse Emerson electric motor will not turn air compressor anymore...any ideas? Motor will run without compressor belt on.

Single or dual Capacitor Motor?

A weak start switch contact or a bad run (NOT START) capacitor)

The centrifugal switch as it reaches run speed... retracts away from the start switch closing the run winding contacts.

If this centrifugal switch is hanging up

(corrosion on armature shaft inside the motor)

and not allowing the contacts to fully mate or there is a contact problem on the start switch itself,
a high AMP load will cause the motor to slow down due to contact heating / lack of surface area contact. That in turn prevents the required amperage to maintain the needed torque of 25 - 60% of the electric motors' capacity during compressor usage.

Air compressor fills, but slows down as the pressure builds

sounds like you need a new check valve which should be somewhere between the compressor outlet piping, tubing, etc and the tank which prevents the air in tank to back feed to the compressor which would cause hard starting and could damage the motor easy way to check is when you shut off the compressor with some air in the tank if the check valve is bad it would continue to bleed air out out the unloader valve .the unloader valve on your unit is most likely part of the pressure switch when the unit shuts of it should only bleed down the pressure in the pump so it would make it easy to start when needed hope i didn't confuse you

Compressor turns on but not the fan.

Jeannine, on this model there is one motor that turns both the evaporator and condensor fans. First you want to check to see if there is any obstruction preventing the fans from turning. There is also a dual capacitor that gives this motor a kick start. If this goes bad the motor will not run, just humm. Hopefully it is just your capacitor that has failed but it could be the motor itself. Part number for the capacitor is 16-05-00710-109. Part number for the motor is 50-11-t26p0-050. Usually a bad capacitor will show signs of leaking or bulging, but not always...Catriver..post back
