First, is the mixer really old, or has it operated in an extreme high heat area ( for example, next to a oven or stove)?
Grease is a mixture of oil and soap, and those two can separate from heat or old age, then the oil can leak.
Second, a seal or a bushing may have worn out, allowing the leak.

First what is the problem, second call KA customer service and ask for the commercial division, they are very helpful even if the machine is out of warranty, the commercial division caters to those machine but it has to be a commercial mixer as your is.
