First of all, depending on how much tranny fluid you put in, you may not need to drain it. Transmission fluid is just oil with other additives in it. Unless you see the oil breaking down, it will probably not run badly. If you put more than a few ounces in, I would recommend changing the oil, which should be done after two hours on a new motor anyway. Some B&S engines do not have a drain plug. If there is one it will be at the base of the motor where it bolts down to the housing. Some also come with an oil drain tube, which allows you to drain the oil without getting it all over the housing. If there is not plug or tube, you can drain the oil from the motor by turning it on it's side and letting the oil drain out the fill tube. Be careful not to spill the fuel - some may leak through the fuel cap and depending on the location of the carburetor, some may leak there as well. Be sure to use 30 weight oil or oil marked as 4-stroke engine oil. Check the levels every time you use the mower to be sure that you have adequate oil and to look for signs of breakdown (thin or spotty on the dipstick) or water (milky or foamy oil) in the oil. Any doubts change the oil. $5 is a cheap price to be sure your motor is protected properly.

SOURCE: how to change oil in a pressure washer

From the manual CleanShot 2050 Briggs and Stratton

Change Pump Oil
1. Drain engine oil and fuel from pressure washer
2. Use an 8 mm allen wrench to remove black pump oil cap between high pressure outlet and garden hose inlet.
3. Tiltl pressure washer to drain oil into an approved container until it drips slowly from pump.
4.Tilt pressure washer in opposite direction and empty premeasured pump oil bottle into same opening (a small funnel may be helpful) [THIS IS WHAT THE MANUAL SAYS-NOT CLEARLY WRITTEN IN MY OPINION OR WRITTEN BY SOMEONE FOR WHOM ENGLISH IS A SECOND LANGUAGE]
5. Install black pump oil cap and tighten firmly.
6. Set pressure washer in upright position. Add fuel and engine oil.

From the engine manual use synthetic 5w-30, 10w-30 from -20 degrees F to temperature of 100 degrees F.
Change oil after 5 hours of operation initially. Before tipping to drain oil, remove fuel from fuel tank by running until tank is empty. Remove oil cap and dipstick and tip engine. Keep spark plug side up. Or remove drain plug from the bottom of pressure washer with a ratchet and square extension and drain oil from bottom. (fuel does not have to be removed)

SOURCE: Need to know where oil

I have the same model...... it should be just underneath the unit.... it will look like a square head recessed. I used the ratchet set extension and it fit just right. I literally had to tilt the darn thing upside down to find it. Then once it was loosen a bit, I put the machine upright on the wheels again, and slip a plastic pan underneath as I finished unscrewing the oil plug, Out came the black goo.

SOURCE: started by Craftsman 2700 PSI

The first thing I would check would be the oil level, to make sure you didn't put in too much oil. If the oil level is correct, it could be a stuck piston ring, letting oil blow by the piston, and out the exhaust. If this is the case, you are going to have to tear down the engine.

Hope this helps!

What is the red fluid spraying from the enginee of a briggs and stration engine

It sounds like someone put transmission fluid where the oil is supposed to go. Red fluid as much that I can remember is transmission fluid not oil. Probably just grabed the wrong bottle instead of oil. You need to drain it out good and fill with the right oil. Check and see if the oil in the motor is red.

Briggs & Stratton Pressure Washer

From your description, it could be rusty water or oil. Depending on the model it could be 30w or 10w30 oil. These pumps are not supposed to need the oil changed, however ,some muppet may have changed the oil and used incorrect oil that has damaged a seal causing water to pressurize the casing and force oil out the breather or it may have been run with no water or it may have just been overfilled.
I would look online to find the correct oil and quantity for your model, check the oil in the casing to see if it is contaminated with water ( the oil will be milky brown if this is the case).
If water is present , the pump will need seals replaced ( assuming it works ok in every other way).
If the oil is clean, drain it out , replace it with the quantity and type recommended by the manufacturer and check the bungs to make sure they are sealing properly.
Good luck!

Oil

Remember when your searching for something you can't find the internet is always your best bet. You should also use a good search engine; www.bing.com is one of the best search engines I have ever used. I searched some stores that have the oil your looking for, one online store is www.amazon.com and if you have one near you and they also carry it at Sears. The grade of the oil is definitely weird, 75W90. Also if you would like to look for other stores that carry it go to Bing and type "Briggs & Stratton Pressure Washer Oil" into the search bar.
