You have to take the back plate off to access the brush holders. See the exploded parts diagram on this page: https://www.toolpartsdirect.com/media/catalog/product/cache/schematic/images/1/4/1412002.png. This is the only way to get to the brushes.

There should be two brush holder screws, one on each side. Unscrew them and pull the brushes out. Replace them with new brushes, screw in the brush holder screws.

  • A big allen wrench and the 6 screws of the handle sometimes its enough to cleanout the brushes only the hanging on dust sometimes , the grey plastic


    switch slide unmount from the underside with a little screwdriver to remove the 2 screws behind .

The drill was a bosch 1194vsr hammer drill - now it is a door stop!
You could try the repair shop, but they'll probably laugh - its burnt out and they aren't usually worth repairing. It was a good drill, but they all burn out one day. Have fun choosing a new one.

Changing bushes on bosch classixx1200
To change brushes in Bosch motor.
Remove rear panel of washer, undo 2 screws that secure motor at front end, remove motor plug, lever motor back with a screwdriver or similar, and remove motor retaining a hold on it,\ so as not to drop it .
Replace brushes fitted at rear end of notor.
Refit motor and belt.
Plz rate my solution.

Changing the brushes when the motor is off
Remove belt, unscrew 2 bolts that hold the motor, unplug the motor connector, lever the motor back with a screwdriver. Check the motor brushes, if they are any shorter than 1 cm replace brushes.

I just did this. Fitting the new brushes was fiddly but not impossible. Its easier if you remove the motor first as this makes access a lot easier.

u can sometimes tip the washer backwards and with a torch u should be able to see the carbon brushes and the 2 star screws which hold them in undue these screws and the carbon brushes will pop out very easily for u to change them m8
