My vsx-50 was working fine until there was a power cut. Now error code UE22 is flashing. I have turned power supply off but it still will not work anymore. It is set up to my smart tv and dvd player. Do I need a new one or is it repairable?
Press enter and power button untill it turnes off. Mine worked after that.
Only way to fix this is to replace the digital board.
According to the User manual a UE22 code indicates a failed software update. (scroll to p. 75). If you haven't tried to update the firmware in the receiver then perhaps the wrong buttons have been operated on the remote control which placed the receiver in the update "mode".Jul 31, 2018
If it is only the blinking that is the problem, and otherwise the amp functions OK, here is what has worked for me with a VSX-LX55 (same as VSX-2021-K): 1) turn the unit on by pushing the power button, and leave it on for 15-20 minutes; 2) turn the unit off by pushing the power button, and leave it off for 5-10 minutes; 3) turn the unit on by pushing the power button; if the blinking still persists, turn the unit off and then immediately back on. If after that it is still blinking, then this solution does not work for you.
It means updating has failed. Use same procedure to update software again:

I know this is an old post but run front speaker outputs to the inputs on the sub then from the sub to the front speakers. bam!! it should work

Its because the pioneer does not display menu options through hdmi. You have to hook up basic yellow composite to monitor out.

I had error code ue22 on my vsx 1326. I no longer have that error code blinking and my receiver works fine now. All i did to fix it, is pressed and held the enter and power buttons untill the receiver turned off.
When i turned it back on again the error code was gone and my receiver worked fine. Hope that helps.

I have tried this advise too on my VSX-921. Now the error code is blinking both when the receiver is turned on and off. I go crazy!
