What do you mean, it won't "run past the wash cycle"? Do you mean it stays in the wash cycle forever? Or do you mean it quits in the wash cycle and doesn't rinse or dry?

Try picking a different wash cycle, instead of your annual quick wash cycle opt for the longer wash cycle and then you may find that the spin cycle may kick-in, hope this works for you, good luck!
