Toro personal pace 20372, starts fine, runs well for 30 or 40 minutes then dies. Starts up again when cooled down just a bit.

I typically bag clippings so shut off to empty bag, perhaps 10 times, and then restart again. Seems that when mower is hot it begins to die out and then will quit and/or I have difficulty starting again until cool.

Looking at answers I line I 1) emptied the oil, and refilled but did not overfill 2) emptied the gas and replaced with ethanol free gas, 91 octane 3) cleaned the gas cap so all airways were clear 4) cleaned the air filter . . . and now runs like new.

Need fuel that is not more than a couple months old

Need a good or clean spark plug

Have no idea how old it is, or how many years
you have used it

Sometimes you have to remove the head & clean the
carbon off the piston & head
That is a tune-up on small equipment

Make sure the air filter is clean

They usually start with the air filter off,but you don't
want to do that all the time

How do I fix a lawnmower that stops immediately after starting

The motor is the power house of the cutter which is responsible for rotating the blades. Electric lawn mowers can be stopped for two main reasons: A faulty power switch or a loose cable connection. Motor overheating can cause thermal cut-out to trip.

Starts, then stalls after 10 min

Make sure the fuel filler cap breather hole is clear if its blocked it will create a vacuum in the tank which prevents the fuel flowing forward. Also check out the links below

Toro personal pace mower will not stay started?

If ir starts and runs for only a few seconds it's a dirty carb/bad gas. Drain the fuel system and use FRESH gas; change out your fuel supply monthly to avoid "phase separation" issues. If it runs for several minutes and then dies it is possibly a sticking valve. Do a compression check cold and after it stalls to confirm. Hope this helps

My mower starts when cold and runs for a while OK

it sounds like the ignition coil is shorting out inside once it gets hot. or it could be the spark plug as well.
