IF the jammed paper tears and you cannot remove the paper either from the paper output slot or from the transport unit, or the jammed paper remains inside the machine, remove the paper following the procedure below. 1. Turn off the machine, and unplug the power cord of the machine from the power supply. 2. Open the paper output cover. Remove the paper on the front tray if any.

Important:
Do not touch the clear film (A). If the paper or your hands touch these parts and blot or scratch them, the machine can be damaged.

3. Make sure that the FINE cartridge holder does not hang over the paper. If the FINE cartridge holder hangs over the paper, move the FINE cartridge holder to the right edge or the left edge whichever is easier to remove the paper. When you move the FINE cartridge holder, hold the FINE cartridge holder and slide it slowly to the right edge or the left edge.
4. Hold the jammed paper with your hands.
If the edge of paper is jammed near the paper output slot, pull the edge of paper to the position where you can hold it with your hands.
5. Pull the paper slowly not to tear it, then pull the paper out.

6. Make sure that all the jammed paper is removed. If the paper is torn, a piece of paper may remain inside the machine. Check the following and remove the piece of paper if it remains.
7. Close the paper output cover, then reload the paper.
All print jobs in the queue are canceled. Reprint if necessary.

Head strucked in the left side of the printer

Printers are made of plastics, even those expensive looking and probably some piece has weared off. My experience is that this kind of failure can't be repaired by a user vithouth the repair kit and the technical knoledge. If you don't know how - most probably - you should take your printer to an authorized Epson repair site.

My mfc 6490cw isn't scanning and when i plug it in a female socket it power on but nothing show on the display and it beeps 3 time PLEASE HELP ME

I suspect the head has failed, try removing it and clean the electrical
contacts on the printhead and the ones they mate with in the printer with
Isopropyl alcohol (don't touch the head nozzles at the bottom of the
cartridge), if that does not work then a new printhead or printer (depending on
relative cost) is the only answer.

Change print head, but now when printing it only prints have of t

you can go to go to the website of the printer and click on support ask in the help box (is there an adjustment procedure for those screws) they are normally set at factory if you can remember where they were its best to try to put back to the original place its a hit and miss on that issue but tech support for that printer should be able to answer that accurately!! When power up to printer head goes to home senser position & beep continuos i try to solve by replacing home senser but not this.

Some of these epsons will go to home position off to one side all the way, and beep. The sensor does not detect any paper present in the carriage.
