The 1st thing to try is to take out the dispenser ,there is a little piece that you will push down and then pull the entire assembly out, rinse it out with hot water ,most likely there is a build up in the dispenser, there after use only powder detergent, and no more then 1 tbs ,and any other stuff IE bleach ,fabric softener, use 1/2 the amount and dilute it with water.

SOURCE: Kenmore Elite HE3 Washer fabric dispenser not working

This is usually just as simple as adjusting the syphone up and down. releveling your machine or cleaning the dispenser itself. when the water enters the dispenser gravity syphones the water out . nothing really machanical about it. unless the water is not filling up the cup enough to go above the max line. you can test it by putting water in the dispenser above the max line and adjusting the syphone cap up and down.this should grab a suction.

SOURCE: he2 front loading washing machine leak at the soap dispenser regi

Hi dlypooh, thought I would post the solution here as well for anybody who needs to do a search in the future...

Remove the dispenser, pour water into the opening and make sure water can get into the machine freely. Inspect the opening for soap build up.
If water goes down slowly (re: dlypooh), open the washer door and feel around the bellow for anything blocking the water inlet port into the washer (socks can sometimes get wedged up there and cause a blockage).
If it all checks out ok, make sure the machine is properly leveled and not leaning forward.
Hope that helps!

SOURCE: water is coming out of the soap dispenser, what do

We had water pour out of the dispenser of our Kenmore HE2 washer. hot water helped us for one load then i realize that a trapped rag was the problem We were actually able to pull the face cloth out of the intake tube without taking everything apart!
opened the washer door and feel around inside the rubber seals to find where the intake tube connects to the drum (upper-left side). felt a small bit of cloth sticking out of the tube and were able to slowly work it out by pulling back and forth. and pulled it completely out thats all it was try this

SOURCE: kenmore front load washer is leaking water from soap

We had a similar problem with water coming out of the soap dispenser when the washer was run. I assumed that it was a problem with the water draining as everyone else posted here. I took off the front panel, got rid of the junk and drained it. Although this was great, it did not solve the original problem. It turns out that there was a sock stuck in between where the water comes out of the soap dispenser and in to the main compartment. Pulled it out with a needle nose plier and good to go. Thanks to everyone for their input here.

If you experience a problem where the washer does not drain properly or the drain pump makes excessive noise, here’s the information you need to check the drain pump:

Symptom: PUMP IS RUNNING, BUT NOT DRAINING PROPERLY.

1. Unplug the washer while servicing inside the unit.
2. Remove the lower kick panel under the door by removing the three 7mm screws under the bottom edge of the panel. HINT: Use a couple of blocks of wood to prop up the front feet of the washer to gain better access to the screws. Once the screws are removed the panel should drop down, and then pull off. If the panel becomes stuck, a slight tap on either side will dislodge it.
3. Locate the drain pump. It will be located directly under the wash tub (it is the only pump this washer has).
4. There is an access removal cover on the pump that can be removed to clean out the trap. BEFORE doing this, it is strongly recommended that you remove all residual water from the wash tub & drain line or you will have about a gallon or so inside your washer and on the floor to clean up.
5. Here’s a helpful way of quickly removing the residual water. If you own a wet/dry shop vac, remove the drain hose from the standpipe at the wall and pull a vacuum with the shop vac. This will empty the wash tub, pump and drain lines. If you don’t own a shop vac, grab a bunch of old towels and open the access on the pump slowly so that it comes out at a trickle. Allow the towels to soak up the majority of the water. Close the access and stop the water if you need to get additional towels.
6. Open the pump access and remove once you have all the water drained. Check the drain pump for foreign objects and debris. Check the pump impeller and make sure there’s nothing caught in it. Items as small as toothpicks or cotton swabs have been known to stop this pump from working.
7. Clean out the pump thoroughly and reinstall the access cover. Make sure the cover is snug, but do not over tighten.
8. Place the drain hose back in the standpipe (IMPORTANT – DO NOT FORGET!).
9. With the bottom panel still off, plug the washer back in and select the following on the operator console – DRAIN SPIN, NO SPIN, and then press any button under OPTIONS 4 times (it must be the same button). “C00” will show on the console display as the washer begins diagnostics mode.
10. Check the drain pump for leaks as the washer fills. The pump is gravity filled and will hold water even it is not pumping. Allow washer to run through diagnostics until it begins the wash tub tumble cycle.
11. At this point, you can stop the diagnostics procedure by pressing PAUSE/CANCEL 2 times. The drain pump energizes and the washer will begin to drain.
12. If the drain pump works normal and there are no leaks detected, reinstall the bottom panel and tighten screws.

NOTE: It is normal to have residual water left inside the wash tub under the wash basket. This is why it is important to leave the door ajar when not in use so this water does not become sour.

We use well water . after washing tower 2 or 3 days of use tower it starts to smell musty .how do we prevent this?

If the machine has a "clean washer" setting, run that with 2/3 cup bleach only (no soap). If it doesn't have a specific setting to clean the machine, run a small load with hot water and use 2/3 cup bleach, no soap.

If you're asking how to avoid the problem altogether, you'd most likely need to install a water softener, or water filter.

Kenmore Elite Washing Machine, top loader, 110.20942992, leaks from the front of the machine. What could it be and how to fix it?

Could be a clog in the outlet of the bleach dispenser. Lint likes to clog this (even if you don't use the dispenser, the washing machine will still pump water through it).

Kenmore Elite HE3t Front Load Washer leak from dispenser

I was just about to call the service teck when I decided I shouldn't be this stupid and try and fix it myself.

I took the tray out and looked in with a flashlight.
Saw nothing.
Cleaned the tray and then checked the drainage hole inside the opening where the tray normally feeds the machine the soap.

I found a inside of the liquid XXXKing laundry cap partially blocking the drain.

Took it out and works fine.

Kenmore elite washer model 20952992 pouring water

We had the same problem. The bleach dispenser tray is located on the drum below the bleach storage pan. The dispenser tray has very small holes that were plugged by rust from the hose clamp that attached the dilution water supply hose to the bleach storage pan. I removed the top of the washing machine to discover the problem, but it may be solved by attaching a flexible tube or small hose to the end of a vacuum cleaner hose and cleaning out the dispenser tray. There is room between the dispenser tray and the storage pan and is located in the front right corner.

Kenmore he3

Getting around the way the boards are pre-programmed is not something they write into the manuals or even make programable. If you want to soak with more bleach, open the dispenser drawer after the unit has filled and add a bleach/ water miture to the soap area of the dispenser. This will let it run into the machine and will get you more bleach in there.

Top Load Kenmore Elite Bleach Dispenser Leaking

I have this same problem today and did not need to take off the top panel or remove the front panel/housing. The bleach and frabric softener dispenser snaps right out and you can check the tubing and clamp from there. You will need to remove the top panel if you need to replace the tubing. In my case, there is a crack in the dispenser itself which has ruined several loads of laundry over the past year...now I realize it wasn't the clamp and hose, but the dispenser itself. Check them all while you are at it.
