SOURCE: Kenmore 80 Series will not fill up with water

if your washer will agitate when set to fill but not fill, then your pressure switch is bad.
also you may want to check and see if you are getting both hot and cold to your washer.

SOURCE: Kenmore 80 series won't spin

If it agitates and drains. leaving your clothes clean but soaking wet. It is most likely the transmission/gearbox. the motor is working otherwise it would not agitate. it is stuck in agitate mode and cannot "shift" into spin mode. new transmission will cost 140-170 and takes 2 or so hours to replace depending on skill level. total repair cost parts+labor $300ish you may want to ante up for a new machine at this point. if you cant to the labor yourself.
part# should be this: tho double check using your own model#

Yes, the only other thing I would do and you may have done this is to put the hose directly over in the washer tub and turn the water on to check the flow. If that's good then replace the water valve.

SOURCE: Kenmore 80 Series- Washer does not fill up with

Check if the volume of water supplied to the washer from the water line through the hoses attached to it is good. If yes, the screen inside the water-inlet valve if it is clean. If clean, the water inlet valve is defective and you need to replace it. The water inlet valve is located inside the washer on the upper back portion. It is where the water supply hoses are attached to.

Where is the reset button for a kenmore 80 washer wont stop filling water level

If this is a top loader then the vacuum line has come off of the dashpot or the water level switch is broken. UNPLUG the power-Standing in front of the washer, pry off the plastic trim strips on the left and right of the dash (control panel) Now you'll see a screw at the bottom where the strips mounted, remove ans KEEP the screws, now the dash will lift up and fold back, giving access to the parts.

Water in washer wont cut off it over flows kenmore 80 series

If it does not switch off when you turn off the power then the fill valve is shot

If it turns of when you remove the power then it is probably the pressure switch or the pipe leading to the pressure switch being clogged with soap.

Need to check out the first by switching on the machine and turning on the water , turn off the power and listen for it keep filling.

If the water stops then it is a strip down to check out the pressure switch and air pipe
