How to remove cover panel and check connections to the control panel?

The lights in the control panel are out most of the time, they occasionally turn on (both clock and oven) when the right front burner is hot so this makes me think it is a loose wire. Need to remove the panel and check but don't have a manual.

SOURCE: Burners Blew

I had a similar problem while mine was still under warranty. Seemed like every time I used the oven and stove top for a major dinner it would short out and I would get an error code: F1:E6. They replaced the board under the display area, but it happened again about 6 months later. Turned out that when they made the oven they didn't insert a chimney like vent system from the bottom left side of the oven to the vent holes that come out the upper left side of the stovetop. This caused the panel to overheat and stop the entire oven from working. They replaced the board again and installed the "chimney vent system" and I haven't had the problem occur again (it's been 3 years!).

SOURCE: The right front burner light stays on even when I

One of your switches is bad. It is not unsafe just annoying. You can open the control panel and remove one PILOT wire from each switch. When the light goes out, that will be the bad switch. Before you do this, turn off the power to the range. After you remove the pilot wire(which controls the light) plug the range back in. If the light is out, that is your bad switch. If the light is not out, unplug the range, replace the wire you removed, then remove the next wire on the next switch. Plug the range back in. Repeat this process until the light goes out. When it does, that is the switch that needs replacing.

We've seen similar problems due to an intermittent failure in the control board. If you can have it removed we can likely repair it for you.

sounds like you have a bad panel dimmer control. try turning the control from bright to dim very fast a few times then slowly, do this in a dark area or at night with the headlights on, you should see a flicker of light occasionally. If you don't see any light then it could be either the headlight switch or the dimmer control, if you DO see any light, then it's your dimmer

MY KITHCENAID MICROWAVE MODEL KHMS155L TURNS ON BY ITSELF,OCCASIONALLY WILL GO TO F2.

Possible fault with the customer touch pad or the controls. Sometimes this is caused by insect secretion - cockroaches- which can make the controller processor board act with such erractic behaviour.
Try to remove the power, remove cover and remove the main controller board and control pad to be washed, cleaned and reset. take care of the strip connection and wires.

the most common is a bad cluster
you have to remove it
that could be a pain but it can be done
after removing the cluster remove the cardboard cover in the back remove circuit panel board and check in the middle for a broken weld here your question for your insterment panel
The Transmission Control Module (TCM) is not communicaring with the PCM.
Check all fuses. It could be a power or ground problem or a ccd bus communication wiring problem.
If not it's likely an internal failure in the TCM.
You may be able to get a schamatic at your local library.
If it's not a power, ground or wiring issue you should take it to a dealer with a DRB III to confirm the diagnosis.

Timing on a 1990 Wrangler with a 4.2 liter

4.2L 6-Cylinder

1. Set parking brake. Shift automatic transmission to Park or manual transmission to Neutral. With A/C off, start engine and attain normal operating temperature.

2. With ignition OFF, connect an ignition timing light and a calibrated, expanded-scale tachometer.

3. Disconnect 4 " and 10 " Hg (CEC System) vacuum switch assembly wire connector (located at top of valve cover). Disconnect and plug distributor vacuum advance hose.

4. Start engine, increase engine speed to 1600 RPM and check ignition timing. Adjust timing to specification listed on Emission Control Information label (if necessary). Tighten distributor hold-down clamp and recheck ignition timing.

5. Turn engine off and remove timing light and tachometer. Connect No. 1 spark plug lead, if disconnected. Unplug and connect distributor vacuum advance hose. Connect vacuum switch assembly wire connector.

NOTE: If timing light has an adjustable advance control feature, turn control to OFF position.

Timing is set per the emissions tag under hood.

My DeLonghi DSM800 when running sometimes stop for a second and then starts up again. It also seems to speed up at times and almost sounds like it is skipping a gear or something. Any ideas.

I had the same problem and fixed it.
  1. I took it apart, unplug unit, remove the small black cover inside the stand portion, 1 screw. Underneath you will find four screws with a white plastic wire junction.
  2. Loosen two screws and remove the black and brown wires which connect to the control panel with the dial attached.
  3. Remove rear attachment cover, front top cover, and front delonghi cover.
  4. Remove top three screws where the blender attachment goes. Now remove the aluminum cover that covers the entire top.
  5. Slip belt off. Remove three screws with plastic washers that attach motor to chassis.
  6. Remove 2 torx screws that are located next to metal bar that keeps top half from swinging too far from bottom half.
  7. Now you can pull the motor out and the control panel with the dial. Remove the three slip on electrical connections on the control panel and reinstall. Carefully remove the two slip on electrical connections on the motor and reinstall.
  8. Re-assemble and test unit.
I thought I had a problem with the control panel or the motor, as it turns out the connections were the problem. Carefully removing them and reinstalling them solved the problem.

Hotpoint Aquarius WD440, Rinse Hold, Time Saver and On/Off light flashing

This is typical of a control board problem.
About 60% of the time they can be repaired, but it's easier to replace it than keep testing.

If you are competent at electrical repairs, then read -on, otherwise order a replacement, and have it fitted.

Isolate supply.
Remove top cover by removing screws at top rear, slide cover rearwards.
Control board is on right at the front.
Test connections - remove and replace all connections, checking for signs of arcing.
Check main wiring loom to motor for integrity and damage.
If no signs of damage, remove control unit board, and examine for arcing or poor contacts, overheated components or damage.

If everything still looks ok, a replacement control board should be fitted and the machine tested.

Hope this helps.
