define the exact error you are having .

it is dead
it wont even come on
it comes to the bios an hangs

some examples to try out too.::
does it look like its charging the battery
try removing battery an power supply push power button.
now insert only power supply an try .
try only with battery .
do you see any activity . blinking, noises .lighted screen , dark screen etc

Hello.The most common reasons for power issues are the battery, power jack and power adapter/cord.Power off and remove the battery. If the laptop powers on with just the adapter connected, your battery is faulty.If you move/wiggle the power adapter at the point where it connects to the laptop, and the power goes off and on, the power jack is the problem.The power jack is inside the laptop and either needs soldering or replacement. If a power jack problem, it should be addressed by someone knowledgeable.If no change, your compaq f500 power adapter is probably faulty and needs replacement.Hope this helps.

it happen with me also actually the problem is the power window get jammed from the inner part..... you if you able to open it just open now clean it well then spray the lube into it and for a long time it work properly..... thankyou

Emachines pc will not power up. Outlet that it's plugged into is powered.

Suggestion is to bypass the Soft Power On of the Power Supply, and see if the problem is the Power On switch, or the Power Supply.

(The Power On switch is located inside the plastic Power On button.

This is an example of a generic Power On switch, that I have found fits many computers,

If bypassing the Soft Power On turns the Power Supply on, the problem is a bad Power On switch.

If bypassing the Soft Power On does Not turn the Power Supply on, the problem is a bad Power Supply.

Emachines T2893 , will not power on, there is a small green light on inside on a board.

Suggestion is to bypass the Power On switch, to see if the problem is the Power On switch, or a bad Power Supply.

If upon bypassing the Power On switch, results in the Power Supply coming on, the problem is a bad Power On switch.

If bypassing the Power on switch results in the Power Supply does Not come on, the problem is a bad Power Supply.

Orange light flashing in powercell pack.console not turning on. tried different powercell pack still not working .used power surge adapter

Hi,To troubleshoot this problem, try the following steps:

Examine the power indicator light that is located in the center of the Ring Of Light on your Xbox 360 console. If there is no power to your console, the indicator light is off and the fans are off.
* Press the power button. The power button and the power indicator light are located in the center of the Ring of Light on the front of your Xbox 360 console. If your Xbox is functioning correctly, the power will turn on.
* Press the eject button on your console disc drive. If your console turns on when you do this but does not start when you use the power button, there may be a problem with the power button or the console faceplate may not be attached correctly. Contact Xbox Customer Support for more help.

If the above step does not resolve the problem, examine the power cord where it connects to your console and to the power outlet. Disconnect and then reconnect the power cord at each end to make sure that you firmly connect the cord.

If this does not resolve the problem, see whether the power cord is plugged in to any device other than a typical power outlet. For example, the power cord may be attached to an extension cord. If this is the case, remove this device and then plug the power supply directly into a power outlet.

If the problem is not a connection problem, examine the light on the Xbox 360 Power Supply.
* A green light indicates that the power supply is functioning correctly. If the light is not green, contact Xbox Customer Support for more help.If these steps do not resolve the problem, your console needs service.

Hi,
It not a common problem. The problem that you are facing is is beacuse of faulty motherboard. The blinking amber is caused , becasue the motherboard is not able to distribute the power signal to the devices .
